Samantha did a fantastic job in playing the violin at our wedding. She was courteous to share the playlist well ahead of the event date and was flexible to accommodate a special request. On the day of the event she was punctual, professional and mesmerized the audience with some melodious tunes. Definitely deserves more than 5 stars.

My 9yo daughter really enjoys learning from Samantha, who brings positivity to every lesson. Samantha communicates w me as needed to provide tools and feedback. My daughter describes her lessons as follows: goes at a "good pace", they "speed up or slow down" as needed, and that Samantha really listens to her and lets her express her thoughts.

Samantha is just wonderful. She is incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I’ve been taking lessons with her for about a month and she is always right on time and always has such a positive attitude. Excellent teacher and human. Highly recommend.

Samantha Peng is a knowledgeable violist, with a great command of the instrument. She is sensitive to the learning style of each student and paces her instruction to best meet their needs.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge for lessons in advance and my rate is $60 for an hour and $30 for a half hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We can set up a Zoom call or phone call and have introductions. I ask questions about your background (including any past musical training or none which is totally fine) and communicate my policies. How lessons will be structured, what to expect.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

After my undergraduated in Texas I I reached out to local orchestra directors to start teaching.
