Introduction: I've been working as a Private Chef for five years in Chicago. I graduated from Kendall College with a BA in Culinary Arts in 2010. After working in restaurants and catering, I decided to go out on my own. I provide and create menus to the taste of the individual client. I have a background in cooking for special diets; gluten free, HcG, low sugar, lacto-free etc. Besides cooking for parties, I also have a customized food drop off service. Menus are available upon request. I really do love what I do and I make sure each client loves it just as much. I take great pride in making sure that each clients' needs and wants are delivered. I offer anything from a catered party for 100+ to a drop off lunch for one. I'm up for anything and am excited to expand my clientele!

After recently switching over to a strict vegetarian diet, I soon came to realize that I had just unknowingly implemented yet another daily stress factor to my already busy lifestyle. Between trying to have a work and life balance, yet knowing how unpredictable my days always turn out, I soon realized being a vegetarian isn’t just about having a restricted diet, it’s about making a commitment. With very little time to cook I decided to seek out someone who would be able to provide me with some Monday-Friday vegetarian meal solutions in order to supplement my meals throughout the day. After chatting with some friends, by word of mouth I was recommended to Chefcago (Allie) as she is known to always be willing and able to provide special requests such as weekly meal plans. I admit that it may come off as pure laziness of me to not just pick up a vegetarian cook book, but in reality Allie ended up providing much more than just meal deliveries. During this time she went above and beyond to not only provide me the meals, but she also provided me with the recipes which were customized for beginners like me to be able to re-create. She even offered to give me a “basics in cooking” class for a great price! Ultimately, I benefitted from Allie not only providing me meals, but great nutritional advice to make sure I am eating the right nutrients and protein on a consistent basis. I would highly recommend her services to anyone, specially anyone who is going through a dietary transition (vegetarian, vegan, Paleo etc.) because not only are you satisfied with her high quality service but as an added value she provides you with just about any nutritional advice and recipes you may need in addition to instructional classes if requested. I will definitely continue to use her services and continue to recommend her to all my friends, who like me, sometimes are just too busy to come home to a fresh prepared meal.

Chefcago is a brilliant solution to any party - Allie is a wonderful cook as well as a calm and confident hostess who can help you plan a party with ease. She has a phenomenal range, lovely salads (spinach, toasted pistachios, fennel with special dressing), perfect meat dishes, fish dishes, stews, baked goods. She can do a wide range of delicious ethnic dinners as well - great Asian flavors, delicious spicy curries. Our daughter has celiac disease and Allie has made her every kind of food - gluten free pizzas, pastas, breads, brownies, cookies, quiches. She has prepared and served elegant adult cocktail parties as well as delicious multi course dinners. Constantly 5 stars!

We hired Allie to cook/serve etc for a birthday party with 50+ guests. She was wonderful and her smile lit the room up. We had appetizers, passed hors douvres, buffet style dinner, and desserts. She also set up a beverage delivery and brought some extra staff to help bartend. All in all it was a wonderful evening and I am sure her ears are ringing because my guests were so impressed. Will use her again soon.

We've used Allie's services twice, once for a surprise dinner party for 10 and also for a large catered event. We are having a small dinner party and are planning on having Chefcago drop off the food for this weekend. Allie take's great care in working up a menu that fit's all of our need's and is very organized! The food taste's great and it's easy to reheat and serve. Patti S. Lake Forest, IL
