Gale was as perfect a photographer for our wedding as could be! We just received our pictures and they are absolutely beautiful, he had professional equipment and was an expert at using the light in an outdoor setting to get the perfect picture. He was punctual, took wonderful pictures and edited and sent them back in just a week!

Amy has done so many photos for my family and they all have turned out amazing. It was a no brainier that she did our wedding photos even tho our wedding was two hours away and we had tornados the night before she was still there to calm my nerves .She is always able to know exactly what I am wantin even when I give little direction. I recommend her to everyone.

My family and I always use BexImages! We used their photobooth for our wedding reception and it was a huge hit! After the reception she even made us a book of all the pictures taken! We have also used them for our family pictures which turn out amazing! They are willing to work with your schedule for an appointment. I love the personalized usb they give you with all the pictures on them! It's very nice because I can print off the ones I love! My family will continue to use BexImages in the future!

My family hired Larry Montgomery for our father's 85th birthday party. I am.a marketing professional and have hired photographers for 30 years. Larry's 0ictures were really great. What I particularly appreciated about him was his ability to be in obtrusive and still get all the shots Dad wanted with this crowd of 140 people. He also had to.photograph a number of people with disabilities or in wheelchairs and he was great with them. This is not a quality that everyone has and I appreciate it. He 2as thorough yet quick in setting up posed shots for family and the quality was excellent. I would recommend him fully.

Stacey from Emerald Enchantments Photography was a wonderful photographer. She made my fiance and I feel very comfortable and gave us a lot of direction (which is needed with us). She made herself very available to talk about the kind of pictures we wanted and even would advise us about what exactly to wear! She was really sweet. We found her pictures to be of excellent quality and her price was affordable. My biggest compliment was that she was able to deliver our photo gallery in a very timely manner.

I loved the pictures from my wedding. With other photographers I would have been nervous that then wouldn't get what I wanted and do their own thing, but Jennifer was professional and asked what I wanted and gave advice and ideas. She was with me every step of the way 😊

Gene Rider is the most professional and easy to work with photographer that i know. He takes modern styles and adds a twist to them to make them remarkable. He makes you feel comfortable and like hes been your friend for years, that makes you smile and feel like your at home with family... weird funny poses or professional ones, he will cover all that.. either in his studio or on a site that you prefer... from senior pictures to weddings or just family pictures even to new born shots before and after. I would definitely go with him again.

Did photography for engagement, engagement party, and the whole wedding weekend. Fantastic price, especially for the great service. He has this great balance of professionalism and approach ability. He delivered thousands of pictures that were highly professional and well edited (not overly edited as I have gotten in the past by other photographers). Yet, the best in my opinion were the random shots he got from guests and family. He was able to approach and make friends easily and thus could get those shots that a photographer that stands off on the sides would have no chance of getting. Have already recommended him to another couple that are getting married this fall.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.
