Loved the personal yoga sessions with London. She is the best
My experience in Samanthia’s classes was one of peaceful contentment. Samanthia allows her students to leave their stresses at the door through her calm and comforting words and affirmations. Her knowledge of yoga movements and poses was evident as she guided the class through each pose with different levels of difficulty thereby addressing every skill and ability level in the room. I am in my late 60’s and after attending Samanthia’s classes, my flexibility and overall well being was greatly improved. I would highly recommend Samanthia’s class to anyone who wants to improve their overall health.
I highly recommend hiring Jessica. She is so knowledgeable about the body and knows exactly what your body needs! Every workout is individualized daily and she really uses your strengths to build up your weaknesses. She not only has a vast array of skills, but she is also super kind and makes you feel extremely comfortable. I am doing yoga and kickboxing and my husband is doing yoga with her and we could not ask for a better trainer!!
I really enjoyed working with Tara. She has an abundance of experience and is a great teacher--the best I've had since I decided to give yoga a try a few years back. I was looking for help strengthening (and improving) my personal practice, and she taught to my needs and devised a strategy for injecting more challenge into my daily routine through just a few key moves. I also appreciated her fluidity in her teaching style. I plan to put her lesson into practice and plan to give her another call once I've worked these moves into my regular routine.
My experience with Lymphatic Drainage and Healing Touch performed by Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington I believe had a positive effect on reducing inflammation in my body. The few days after therapy I noticed less aches and pain in my muscles & joints. I hold a lot of stress related tension in my muscles, so it was great to have some relief. During the therapy Dr. Sylvia kept me informed with what she was doing and why she was doing it. I liked how she integrated different modalities along with the lymphatic draining. She incorporated some yoga stretching and breathing as well as healing touch techniques. On top of relieving some of my inflammatory muscle and joint pain, Dr.Sylvia found an inflamed lymph node under my arm. It was likely inflamed because I was feeling on the verge of a virus. She was able to drain the lymph node and we could no longer feel an inflamed lump under my arm. I believe this procedure helped me to beat the virus that never transpired. In addition to being a Certified Lymphatic Therapist, Dr. Sylvia has vast knowledge and expertise in the medical field as an Environmental Epidemiologist and Public Health Professional. She has the ability to treat a person holistically while helping them discover how their environment may be affecting their health issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington as a Nautropathic Doctor for Lymphatic Wellness.
Her yoga classes were very relaxing, and I felt comfortable no matter my level of yoga experience. Amy is friendly and gets to know you.
Lisa has been wonderful to work with. She has been so patient and helpful. I observed a class she taught and she was amazing. She has a remarkable ability to calm you just by talking to you. I was afraid to give meditation a try but after seeing her I plan to learn.
When I started doing yoga with Katie, I had never practiced yoga before, and I had only recently started working out. Honestly, I actually hated exercising. My previous trainer had been cancelling on me, and I was looking for someone who would be reliable and professional about respecting their work engagement. Katie has great work ethics, and has never canceled on me. My job is stressful, I am often standing, with my head leaning forward. i was starting to have neck and shoulder pain. I was looking for a way to stretch, but also to strengthen my core muscles, while working on posture. With these goals in mind, Katie developed yoga and work out sessions that are adapted to my needs. I now feel in better shape than I ever did! I enjoy working out with Katie because she motivates me at improving myself. Her challenges are always within my reach. She has a genuine positive attitude, and is really dedicated at helping her "students" reach their goals, whatever their goals are. I highly recommend Katie for yoga or personal training!
I entered yoga with a bone spur in my right shoulder and minimal flexibility. After working with Trayci, the spur miraculously corrected itself (doctor was shocked). She is an excellent and patient instructor and always took the time to show me the different poses. Private sessions and classes are always fun, enjoyable, and beneficial
I’ve been going to a chiropractor on and off over the years for lower back tightness. After a friend recommended me to see C. Alexandra I thought I would give it a try. She was very professional and thorough with explaining and demonstrating the poses I needed to do to help my lower back. I am new to yoga and she helped me so much with her hands on approach and demonstration. After just 1 session with her my lower back hadn’t felt this good in years. I can’t wait to go to one of her classes. I’m addicted to yoga now thanks to C. Alexandra
Hadley was my first yoga instructor, and though I do go to other classes, she's still the most caring, attentive and personable teacher. She's great at helping me go beyond what I'm currently able to do and provides excellent encouragement and support.
Katie Hoffman is a teacher, yogi, and artist residing near Chicago, Illinois. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years and has participated in workshops with Seane Corn, Elena Brower, Shiva Rea, and David Swenson to name a few. Katie recently completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Chicago Yoga Center under the guidance of Suddha Weixler. She is now enjoying sharing her love of yoga by teaching in her community. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside with her family, cooking, and running YogaCrossing, the Etsy and Instagram project she co-created. Katie enjoys designing unique yoga sequences that benefit the needs of each individual student.
My goal is to teach and convey mental and emotional harmony by creating a flow with the breath and movement, encouraging strength through the body and mind. My joy is to teach classes in sequences that will best suit you and your group while giving you the most benefits (stress relief, flexibility, muscle tone, etc.).
I can design programs to suit any goal. I have been training clients for over ten years, and I have been teaching Yoga for 7. I hold a Masters in applied exercise physiology and a B.S. in Kinesiology. My style is essential centered around techniques utilizing the body/mind connection.
Enthusiasm of the teacher spills out to the student. Julie shares the joy and energy she gains from practice to her students. The type of yoga Julie teaches will enegize the student and change will occur with regular practice. What I enjoy most, is seeing the change that occurs when my students practice yoga. Their bodies become more aligned through awareness and their sense of connection to their bodies helps them shine.
I'm a never ending font of patience and energy! You'd also be hard pressed to find someone more passionate about yoga and having a good experience than I am! Bringing relief to injuries, watching someone get a pose that's previously eluded them, or when a client has a great savasana. It's a tie between those three.
If you think that learning to touch your toes or even standing on your head is the whole of yoga, you have missed most of its bounty, most of its blessings, and most of its beauty. Yoga releases the creative potential of life. The light that yoga sheds on life is something special; it is transformative. It does not just change the way we see things; it transforms the person who sees. It brings knowledge and elevates it to wisdom. - Sri B.K.S. Iyengar I started my yoga practice at McGaw YMCA in Evanston, Illinois at the ripe age of 20. My first teacher was a sweet Dutch lady named Ine. If you want to know yoga before yoga was a brand, please go visit Ine at the YMCA. She's an absolute delight and yoga in its purest form. I am a registered hatha yoga instructor through the Temple of Kriya in Chicago. I graduated in 2006 and began teaching the day after. I currently lead group classes downtown Chicago and work with private clients building personalized yoga programs. Passionate about my personal practice as a student and teacher, I try to bring humor and lightness to my classes. A perfect class for me would have lots of child poses and a super long savasana. Of course, a few planks and boat poses would add a nice balance. In my yoga practice, I employ numerous styles of hatha and vinyasa flow. As well, I completed training with The Global Yoga Center prenatal yoga teacher program. I have trained with Baron Baptiste, Kathryn Budig, Seane Corn, Suddha Weixler and other esteemed yoga instructors. I am a 200hr registered yoga teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance.

I am a professionally trained dancer and performer. I teach yoga professionally in Public schools and professional development for teachers themselves. I have found that most people need a bit of everything to find their own practice or spend a lot of time doing a practice that really isn't for them specifically and we all need a little one one time with a teacher. I get to learn alongside people.
