Introduction: I love teaching! I’m a soprano who has performed in concert and opera productions across Europe, the USA and Asia. Since I am a very active performer, I keep developing my own skills. So many teachers just teach, but I practice what I preach! I love the individuality of each voice and love the process of finding out what technique and approach works best for each individual student. I am a dedicated teacher who always looks to find the best methods for each student's needs. Students have a lot of fun in my sessions and get tools to improve their singing quickly. I give vocal masterclasses at American Universities (such as Indiana University, University of Colorado) but also teach absolute beginners. I am passionate about teaching singing in every level and style of music.

My daughter has been shy meeting new people, let alone singing in front of people. By her 2nd-3rd lesson she was singing with Josephine over video chat like she had done it her whole life. She looks forward to her lessons and is learning the proper way to use and warm up her voice. Josephine is so sweet and patient, we have been using her talents for the past 8+ months.

I always have a great time during my singing lessons with Josefien. I always smile and am always excited to start another lesson each week. Josefien is a great teacher and I definitely recommend her. I have had her for a couple of months now and am really happy and impressed. She helps you improve and learn new things that are always fun and helpful to practice.
