The Zoom Drain team was amazing from start to finish! We will use them again in a heartbeat for any future sink, drain, or toilet work. Read on for more on our experience… We initially thought we had a persistent clog in our basement toilet or possibly our sewer line - despite our prior efforts to snake and plunge - on a roughly 2 year old fairly high end toilet bought from a big box retailer that was installed by a different contractor. We’d let the toilet sit for a few months but finally reached out on Thumbtack for professional help late on a Sunday night to try to get it fixed by Memorial Day Weekend. It was not an emergency so we weren’t expecting or needing a super fast turnaround. Anna’s reply early Monday AM blew all of the other replies received this week out of the water! She thoroughly outlined their process (including a free estimate, unlike others), on the spot repair if we approved the estimate (no need to book a 2nd trip), and offered many options to coordinate a tech visit. Within just a few messages on the site we had techs scheduled later that same day - even working around limited availability on our end! Enter 2 amazing technicians (Christian and Antonio) early afternoon to investigate what turned out to be the toilet repair & replacement from hell! They did an exhaustive detective work to find the cause - which proved elusive and was actually multiple issues! Given the issues, I was tempted to just replace it right away but Christian believed they could fix the issues for cheaper than the replacement, hated to see me potentially waste money, but thoroughly walked me through both repair & replace options and even offered to credit the repair fee towards a replacement later if it was still needed. Talk about wow - not being strong armed into the upsell was such a refreshing change from other home repair experiences I’ve had! The guys proceeded with the repair attempts, but like that car that just doesn’t want to be fixed, this toilet fought every their every effort! A few hours later, we all agreed they should just call it a lost cause and replace it. Christian and Antonio returned promptly the next morning as agreed - as the toilet I wanted wasn’t a model they keep on their truck ready-to-install + they were going to swing by their plumbing supplier to try to get a replacement t-valve for the bidet we that was leaking - yet another unexpected problem they handled with a “wow” factor! They had the new toilet installed quickly and even managed to get the leaky t-valve to work with some creative engineering - as it turns out the bidet has all custom connections and a replacement wasn’t readily available. And just when we thought it was all set - they had to go back and remove & reseat the new toilet due to a tiny leak thanks to our uneven basement floor. The guys went above and beyond from their comprehensive investigation to tackling the many blockers they encountered. I know I would have been beyond frustrated were I in their shoes - but they were nothing but smiles & problem-solving persistence! We cannot thank them and the rest of the Zoom Drain team (who were likely impacted by being stuck on our job for far longer than anyone expected). What an amazing team and an outstanding company all around! While we hope to not see them again anytime soon, we definitely know who we will be calling for our next sink, toilet, or drain dilemma!!

We give free estimates and we don't perform any work without your authorization.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will typically have a customer show us the area of concern, we will then check out the other drains in the vicinity to determine the appropriate solutions. We then show the pricing out of a menu price book before we start work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are very specialized in drains and have our own in-house training center for drain cleaning. We have weekly training sessions and mandatory safety training.
