Introduction: I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition from Columbia College Chicago. I studied under Marcos Balter, Drew Baker, Ilya Levinson, and Ken Kumpf. I am a self-taught guitar player who has played-in and written music for numerous award winning producers, rock bands, jazz ensembles, and folk ensembles over the past 16 years. Lessons, based on skill-level of the student, will incorporate college level material. I like to find that balance between challenge and reward for my students, so there's always a forward momentum! Rock, blues, metal, folk, jazz, and classical are genres I teach. I also focus on technique within each style, such as: scales, modes, chord inversions, finger-picking, hybrid-picking, tapping, sweeping, string-skipping, speed, and phrasing. I love teaching people guitar and music, that includes: all ages and all skill levels! I'm very passionate about teaching, so I create individual lesson plans based off of the student's current skill level and goals. Ultimately I believe music is all about having fun! The more you have fun the more you learn!

I was looking to learn how to play guitar. Contacted Jeremie and he was very responsive. Set up lessons in my home. Jeremie is excellent! Very easy to work with and will help you with your guitar journey no matter what your skill level is. I have already improved in a handful of lessons and I fell in on my way to playing the music I like.

I am a big fan of Jeremie's teaching method. This guy is amazing. Our lessons are online but that in no way diminishes their quality. I look forward to each lesson and suspect that will be the case indefinitely. He helped me find a new guitar, gave me some great tips about what to look for in an amp. He's given me innumerable pointers, pieces of music theory, sheet music (including tablature) for songs I'm interested in, and great advice about how to take stock in my progress (especially during times when it seems like I'm not moving forward very much). I don't think I could recommend Jeremie enough. If you get the chance to work with him, do yourself a favor and take it.

Jeremie has been a fantastic guitar tutor to me. I started learning from scratch with zero experience. I am honestly surprised by the progress I have made. I am a working professional and I’m not able to dedicate the time I want to, to my personal interests along with work travels but Jeremie has been very patient with me. He works at my pace and understands what and how much I can grasp in a week. He is very responsive and also clears my doubts whenever I have a question. He provides all the materials to me and I trust him that if I follow what he teaches, I’ll definitely achieve the goals I have set for myself. I’ve been with Jeremie for the past couple months, and all I can say is WOW! He is an amazing teacher and will help with anything you need! From learning new songs, picking out new gear and adjusting anything if need be.
