Introduction: Hola! I am a college graduate from Marquette University (May of 2014). My undergraduate majors are Spanish language, literature and culture and international affairs. Spanish has been my passion ever since the 7th grade and continues currently. While in college, I lived for 8 months in El Salvador, Central America, studying at La Universidad Dr. Jose Mateas Delgado, where I became completely fluent. I graduated Marquette an active member of Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honors Society Marquette University chapter for having received a 3.8 GPA in all of my Spanish classes during my time at Marquette University. Also, during my undergraduate studies, I worked for over a year with native Spanish speakers through The Boys and Girls Club of America to help them learn English (ESL). I have also worked with high school students in all levels of Spanish; I am able to explain grammar concepts using current, spoken examples. I am confident I can help students of all Spanish language levels, from Spanish 1 to Spanish 5 AP, college-level students and those who are seeking medical Spanish tutoring. Additionally, because of my major in international affairs, I am well versed in the political atmosphere of the Spanish speaking world. I help my students to my fullest ability, always creating a relaxed and easygoing experience. It also never hurts to add some fun and humor into my teaching style! I specialize in high school Spanish test preparation and vocabulary memorization. I also incorporate the use of mnemonic devices into my teaching to help my students remember their vocabulary easier. Flexible schedule and weekends work very well for me.
