Introduction: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a social worker for over 25 years. I have worked with many different populations. I love seeing change in people. It fulfills me to be a part of the change process. I have added Life and Parenting Coaching to my practice in the past 5 years. Coaching is highly motivating. It is typically a shorter term, faster paced process than counseling.
A little about me.....I am a special needs adoptive parent. I have four children by adoption. Three of my children have special needs. I have experience navigating the special education system, residential placement system, in-patient hospitalizations, home based services, etc. I'm also a devout sports mom! I have an active, loud, happy family.
We also rescue dogs so we have rambunctious dogs added to the mix!
I currently work full time in a prison. I spend the majority of my time helping inmates find meaning and purpose in their lives, despite their long sentences. It is immensely rewarding to help these inmates move from despair to hope and to be a part of that process. I also maintain a small counseling and coaching practice in the evening and/or weekends based on schedules and child sport season. I am dedicated to my clients and I will help your realize your dreams and goals!
I work to help adults achieve and maintain their goals. It is so easy to lose yourself in the busy-ness of life. Balance is the key to maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle.
I enjoy helping people find their way. I enjoy helping children and teens develop into fine young people. I also enjoy watching adults spread their wings and grow as individuals. I believe that every life that touches us impacts who we are. My goal is to have a positive impact on the people I touch, personally and professionally.
