We are happy that we decided to go with Air Duct Cleaning Group. They did a great job. Mark is very thorough in his work. I would definitely recommend these guys.Nov 3, 2018Verified
Nice guy and knows what he's doing. Unfortunately he forgot to turn his vacume on at one point during the cleaning and after a week still have a burning smell when my brand new furnace turns on. He instructed me to change the filter every 2 days for a week, I changed it everyday the filter got so dirty. Things are finally cleaning out. It was an honest mistake and he gave me the best fix. He was here for 6 hours so I think he was just really tired. I will call him back for annaul cleaning. This was probably the first duct cleaning my 50 year old house has ever had and the quality of air is amazingly better worth the cost even with the slip up.Feb 28, 2017Verified

Be sure to talk directly with Mark and clarify everything included in his written estimate. In our experience the written estimate stated that the dryer vent cleaning was included with organic sanitation treatment. It was never mentioned that the organic sanitation was an additional $150. We learned of this out after he had started unloading his equipment. Had we known we would have gone with another company that included it in their estimates. We are happy with the job Mark did cleaning our ducts. There was quite a bit of dust to clean up after he left and metal shavings on our basement floor from the holes made in our HVAC system. Not a huge deal and it was an easy cleanup with our vacuum. We did have to remind him to clean out our dryer vent as he stated that you have to request it when you do the organic sanitation, even though it says it's included. Our biggest problem arose after he left our home. I started my dryer that evening and it went crazy with noises and vibrations. When he cleaned our dryer he damaged the blower fan inside. This happened because his vacuum was pushed too far inside the lint trap in the dryer. The broken fan blades caused the fan to spin out of balance and the dryer shook intensely with a terrible noise. My husband spent some time taking the dryer apart and figured out what was going on. This took two days. On the third day he was able to locate the part and replace it. Thankfully it's working properly again. We reached out to Mark about our issues but he hasn't responded.Apr 3, 2017VerifiedShachar (Mark) H.'s reply
Dear Crystal, It's unfortunate that I did not receive any calls or any messages from you regarding issues with my service. I did not see the review until ten days later. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize, and explain what really happened. First, you told me you were very happy because you realized that the company that offered you a cheap promotion would not provide you the best cleaning. Second, with regard to sanitation, it was not included in your promotion and there were suspected molds in your system. Therefore, as a precaution your husband asked and agreed to sanitize your system. He understood and agreed for the additional charge from the first time. About your dryer vent, we never discussed cleaning your dryer vent, you assumed that because it was included with purchasing the sanitation you automatically get it. In fact, I have a copy of the invoice and the dryer is not included in the invoice. But as a courtesy I went back and cleaned your dryer vent. As for your blower motor in your dryer, I tested the dryer after the cleaning and everything was working fine before I left. I wish you would have contacted me. I'd definitely do my best to help you with your situation, even though I did not cause it. Thank you.
They responded in a timely manner and did a good job cleaning the vents as they have not been done in years. The price was good and the staff were friendly. The only complaint was that I had to clean around the vents once they were done with the job. However I will definitely hire them again.Aug 4, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do have some standard pricing, although, it really depends on the specific conditions that customer have. For example: 1. Customer might have two identical houses with the same amount of vents or ducts to one furnace, however, one furnace might be in the crawlspace and the second furnace is in a open space, which will be a lot easier to clean. 2. customer replace filter regularly and keeping clean space, and the second customer never did, which will result in a lot more time cleaning. These examples are only couple of issues from many other situations, therefore, there are plenty of reasons why it's hard to determine a standard pricing, and it's best to have Our free On site Estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Our customers Love our free on site Estimate process, first step, we will get an idea over the phone what roughly needs to be done, at the Point of time we will quote them with a price that would be more or less targeting the cleaning process that they required, after that we will schedule the appointment for a Later day or sometimes we even have same day Service, when we arrived to the customer we will go over the information that we discussed over the phone, and we'll start our free inspection, will explain to them what needs to be done step-by-step and Make sure that the customer understand the process and how long it take to complete the cleaning process and the exact cost , our customers appreciate our honesty and knowing that the Price that we quote to them '' Will not change'' No bite & switch in this company.
