Professor Sloan offers a highly effective, stress-free method of learning French. It's remarkable how much language content is gained, and so pleasantly. This is a great way to get ready for your next trip to France or to help in serious study of this beautiful language. I highly recommend him and am grateful for his help.Oct 17, 2018Verified
Prof. Richard Sloan is a superb French instructor. I was lucky enough to have him for at least three semesters for Conversational French at Triton College. His pedagogical approach is innovative and effective. It involves a series of questions he asks around stories either he or the student creates. The narrative provides a backdrop for language acquisition in that the student remembers the vocabulary within a story context. He was especially helpful using his photography skills teaching us how to read French road signs. Additionally, he checked my grammar and punctuation when I prepared a paragraph or so in French to present at the James Baldwin Conference last year at the American University of Paris before Baldwin's family and friends. I'd offer the highest possible recommendation for Prof. Richard Sloan .-stan westNov 4, 2017
