FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each location has it's own structure. The website is the easiest place for the break down. Private sessions start at $80 then go down to $75 for a package of 3, $70 for a package of 5. If two people attend the second person is half off. I am willing to negotiate price based on location and competition of other instructor with similar credentials.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I Find out what are their expectations and goals. I always ask about injuries that could effect practice and safety. I let students know about modifications how we can best modify asanas (postures) to keep them safe. If they are attending classes I ask them to arrive early the first few times to give them a little extra information and pay particular attention to them in class. If we are working privately I make an assessment. Then I set a sequence to start and begin there and change it adding and deleting asanas as needed and as we progress.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my 200 hour certification at Moksha Yoga in Chicago. The course was a year long and took over 600 hours to complete. I've attend workshops with master teachers regularly for additional training. These instructors have trained with master teacher BSK Iyenger himself. One was a student of his for over 30 years. Some of them to name a few are Gabriel Halpren, Gary Kraftsow, Aadail Palkhivala, Rodney Yee, Anna Forest. I have training in therapeutic yoga and Senior Chair yoga as well.
