FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally a Massage service will cost $75-80 for an hour, plus travel fee, depending on how far you are from my location. This includes cost of travel (my time, gas, wear and tear on my car), An EXCEPTIONAL service specifically tailored to your needs for the day, the time it costs me to set up and prepare, the cost of continuing education and the many other fees that are necessary for me to maintain my massage license. This is a luxury service being provided to you from the comfort of your home! Even though 1 session might be an hour for you- it might take me 4 hours total between set up, break down, travel time both ways, and the time it takes to clean the laundry and linens that we used. Please be advised that any add-ons such as aromatherapy (I use Doterra essential oils, the highest quality on the market), himalyan salt stones, or massage cupping is a $10 additional upcharge, and I must be notified in advance so that I can bring the proper equipment
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I arrive at your location, I do a thorough intake/questionnaire with you while I set up my equipment. Keep in mind that I will need to know of any recent surgeries or medical conditions that affect you, current medications (blood pressure medications, pain relievers beyond advil or tylenol), skin conditions, allergies that you have, venous issues (heart disease, pace maker, varicose veins, etc), If applicable- if you are pregnant and what trimester... questions like that! It may seem like weird questions if you are not used to getting professional massages- but all of these things I will need to know so that I am able to give the best possible care to you, with your safety in mind. I will need the proper space available (10x10 feet or as close as you can get), with all furniture and pets put away. I do not mind children being close by because I want you to be comfortable! But it might be more relaxing to you if there is someone to watch your child. It typically takes me 20-30 minutes to set up and break down the equipment. After the massage, we can review a specific treatment plan for your further needs after the service. This is my professional work and I love what I do, but please keep in mind that I will not be late, I do not come to work drunk, high, or sick, and I will give you at least 4 hours notice if for some reason I have to cancel, and 1 hour notice if for some reason I do happen to be running late. Out of respect for each other's time, I ask that you do not partake in any of these either :) Please arrive to the massage feeling well, be there on time (sounds silly, but you would be surprised how many people show up late to their own house), and give me at least 4 hours of advanced notice if you have to cancel for any reason.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! I am required to take 24 hours of continuing education each renewal period. But, being a driven learner, I like to take even more classes! I like to learn as much as I can. I have taken extra courses in modalities like sports massage, deep tissue, myofacial release, trigger points, essential oils, total body stretching, himalayan salt stones, lymphatic drainage, and massage cupping- just to name a few.
