If you are seeking an interesting, enjoyable approach to learning English or Spanish, my approach will work for you. I provide customized English or Spanish language lessons and tutoring. I establish relationships based on goodwill and trust in a relaxed atmosphere. I have a passion for teaching language and derive great rewards from observing the gains made by students. Students are given simple, interesting daily activities to carry out for independent language development, so that they reap rewards continuously. Lessons involve diverse activities based on communication in English or Spanish. Grammar, vocabulary, and phonology are central in language learning, and an adequate command of these is essential for communication, so I include a practical approach to incorporating all three in student-centered, communicative activities. Learning another language involves comparisons and contrasts of the target language with our own language. I guide students through this process. Understanding normative grammar is necessary for learning how to read, write, speak, and listen in the target language. It is also beneficial to understand how, in reality, native speakers use the language in different dialects and social contexts commonly employing irregularities and non-standard language features. For this reason, my teaching approach also includes descriptive grammar, which elucidates the diverse, realistic use of language and offers a broader understanding of language.
I have a passion for culture and languages and find gratification, great rewards and satisfaction in assisting learners of English or Spanish make gains in learning, acquiring, and understanding English or Spanish in the four areas of language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing as well as aspects of culture.
