- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For decorated cakes I start at a flat rate per size of cake. From there any additional tiers and specialty decorations (characters/ figures) are additional.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at Kendall College in Chicago in 2012 and acquired my Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry. From there I have worked at the Fairmont hotel, various bakeries, and am currently working for Bon Appetit MGMT Co on the Amazon campus in Seattle WA.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Watching extreme cake challenges and Ace of Cakes on the Food Network sparked my interests. Before then I had never know that cakes could be that amazing.
