Introduction: I help you understand what your dog is thinking and what it needs out of life. I use my positive energy to help create a positive energy in you and your dog. I will help you with logic and holistic ideas to help transform your dog and your family to become the pack you have always wanted. I like everything about my job. When I am able to help a family with their dog, and I have kept another dog from going to a shelter, I am flying on a cloud.

I would highly recommend Scott the Dog Guy. He is very gifted and clearly knows what he's doing! In a single hour-long session, he covered so much ground and left us with specific training techniques to practice with our dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Just let me start by saying that I would highly recommend Scott the Dog Guy!! Scott was very gentle and patient with Emma (our 4-year-old Cavalier). (and with us too) It was immediately obvious that she sensed his energy and calm the minute she met him - a 'dog whisperer' for sure! After just one session with Scott, Emma's behavior change was remarkable. She no longer barks and jumps all over people (including me) when they enter or leave the house. And she no longer pushes me out of the way to get to her food. (seriously - one session cured this 4-year-old behavior) We just started to work on her walking-on-lead and her anxiety issues and feel that with what we learned today, she'll make great progress there as well. Scott tailors the training for the individual dog - both with specifics of what he works on and the number of sessions needed. And he offers assistance via email/phone. No high pressure sales at all, which we appreciate.

Scott was awesome! Our dog, Charlie is only 9 weeks old and he helped us with several practical and useful tips and tricks to help potty train and control his nipping/biting. He gave us very helpful advice, since this is our first dog and don't have much experience with them. I highly recommend Scott, he is very friendly, obviously great with dogs, and was very honest about how to use our indoor and outdoor space with our new puppy. Thank you Scott! We look forward to working with him again for additional training.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was told by my family that I was a natural with dogs and knew how to work with them so I decided to go to school to learn all about it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't just trust your instincts, read the customer reviews and even request a meet and greet with the professional before you hire them, this way you can feel more comfortable about who is dealing with your family and your dogs.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Every dog is different just like every human is different. No two dogs are alike and they need to be treated as individuals. I treat them all as animals first, then as dogs, then their bread and finally their own personality.
