After 35 years of travel and entertaining for my prior business responsibilities, I retired early and decided that my first goal was to get into better shape. I investigated a number of personal trainers in the area and contacted references provided by Chitown Trainer before engaging them. The peronal references were all spectacular. My personal experience has been great so far. I am well on my way to achieving my fitness and post-retirement lifestyle goals with the help of my trainer. He pushes me forward in my workouts and offers positive encouragement during our periodic progress reviews. He is always on time and provides a full 60-minute workout, after which I am both physically exhausted and mentally refreshed. If something such as heavy traffic results in him being delayed, he sends text messages so that I can keep my other commitments moving forward. Very reliable, professional and knowledgeable trainer, and an important part of my weekly routine!
I hired Mary to be a yoga instructor for my fitness retreat, and she was the perfect fit. She tailored the class for our needs (gentle yoga for sore muscles). I've done yoga for years with several different instructors, and I believe she is a wonderful teacher!

Jessica is extremely well rounded and knowledgeable, with exceptional attention to detail in form and technique. She brings an adaptability to her training that allows for modification as needed by each individual client. Jessica is professional yet approachable, personable and funny. Her yoga training is awesome and her Thai massage is fantastic. Give it a shot if you haven't tried it. I highly recommend it!

My experience with Lymphatic Drainage and Healing Touch performed by Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington I believe had a positive effect on reducing inflammation in my body. The few days after therapy I noticed less aches and pain in my muscles & joints. I hold a lot of stress related tension in my muscles, so it was great to have some relief. During the therapy Dr. Sylvia kept me informed with what she was doing and why she was doing it. I liked how she integrated different modalities along with the lymphatic draining. She incorporated some yoga stretching and breathing as well as healing touch techniques. On top of relieving some of my inflammatory muscle and joint pain, Dr.Sylvia found an inflamed lymph node under my arm. It was likely inflamed because I was feeling on the verge of a virus. She was able to drain the lymph node and we could no longer feel an inflamed lump under my arm. I believe this procedure helped me to beat the virus that never transpired. In addition to being a Certified Lymphatic Therapist, Dr. Sylvia has vast knowledge and expertise in the medical field as an Environmental Epidemiologist and Public Health Professional. Over the years I’ve taken many yoga classes and have known many teachers, but it was not until I discovered a certified teacher of Iyengar yoga, the type Amy teaches, that I finally realized how beneficial yoga could be. Iyengar yoga is designed to help people with a wide range of abilities acquire the correct balance and positioning that enable the body to function at its best. For this reason, Iyengar yoga can be undertaken by women or men, children or older adults, and even people with disabilities, because an experienced teacher can tailor the person’s practice for any special needs or level of ability. My first Iyengar teacher moved away, and for a long time I feared I would never find anyone that good again. Then one day I read an article about Amy in the paper, and the long search was over. Like my first teacher, Amy has the ability to instantly spot whatever adjustment a student might need and can supply a wide range of aids to make a pose work for that person. She has a warm, welcoming personality, endless patience, and a good sense of humor. Our class can be challenging, but it’s always rewarding.

Wow what can I say...I was always that guy that thought yoga was for women only. Man was I wrong. Samantha did an amazing job at balancing the support and education with the push I needed. She has such a radiant personality and she brings her sense of humor into her practice. As a former college football player all I did was strength train.
