Introduction: Many have told me that my work has a "West Coast / LA" style. I'd have to agree with them. Born and raised in Southern California, I was influencesd by vibrant culture and, of course, Hollywood. I like a clean style, that usually swings towards head shots and fashion. I like connecting with people. I think the eyes are the most intense part of a person, and can tell a story. I like talking to people during shoots, getting to know them. Sometimes the in between shots turn out the best, because the model and I were laughing about something silly, or the model was in deep thought. I like showing someones personality. But the best part is handing over the finished product and seeing the clients face filled with excitement.

Simply put, Jasmin Garcia is absolutely the greatest to work with. We met many weeks in advance, and she walked me through her work. Together, we brainstormed, collaborated, and came up with specific concepts for the photoshoot. I walked away from the initial meeting feeling confident and comfortable with the work ahead. Jasmin's professionalism is pure, she's dedicated to her work, and her personality helps to drive the subject's performance. I consider myself an energetic & expressive creative artist... Naturally, Jasmin opened the door for shots that I would have never imagined coming from myself. The final product is stunning! And I respect that she allowed me to view many of the "good shots" and select my favorites. JG is incredible, and I'm beyond excited to work with her in the future.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started shooting when I was in middle school. Quiet honestly, I turned to photography out of boredom. I wasn't feeling fulfilled anymore with drawing and painting, and one day I randomly stumbled upon a fashion editorial shoot online. My mind was blown. When "Santa" granted me a camera for Christmas, my photography journey began. I started with a point and shoot, using bedsheets for backdrops and recruiting my friends for models. I mimicked what I saw in fashion magazines, and that's where it all began. When I got to college, I changed my major last minute to Photography. I just had a gut feeling that I would regret not doing so. And I was right. I'm so glad I changed my major to pursue what I wanted since I was 12.
