We hired Signature Plates for our Al Fresco neighborhood party. It was the best year food wise we have had! The food was excellent, he worked with our ideas and came up with a delicious menu. He was not just professional, but so nice and a pleasure to work with. We would HIGHLY recommend him for any events you are planning. Would give more then 5 stars if I could.

Personal Chef

Chef Dre is the BEST. I hired him for my brothers bachelor party 1 week before the event and he was extremely flexible with the menu and location. He drove all the way up to Madison, WI for us. FOOD was bomb! We had jerk chicken, Ribs, mac n cheese, and beef sliders and it was all amazing. I couldn’t stop eating the ribs. He cooked more than we needed for 15 people and after about 24 hours we finally finished all the leftovers. Highly highly recommend. Super fun and chill to hang out with and the service and food is outstanding. -Randy

I live in Oakland CA and I needed a Chef in the Chicago area to deliver food to childhood friends. I loved every interaction with Chef Dre. I told him what I needed and he provided a menu of meals for 4 days. From our first phone call to the delivery day, Chef Dre has been extremely responsive. I highly recommend Chef Dre for all events - large and small.

Chef Dre catered my bachelorette party and from the moment we started working together I have nothing to say but positive things. He curated a menu for a wide variety since some of my friends have food allergies and are vegetarian. I appreciate Chef Dre’s promptness with communication and his passion for food. Besides the amazing professionalism the food was phenomenal. He also made drinks for us and I was left speechless. Everything was top notch and I’m so incredibly happy that we decided to go with Signature Plates and will definitely be working with them again in the future!! Also Chef Dre got me a card and flowers and I just have to say that was so sweet!! Thank you guys again.

Wedding and Event Catering

Chef Dre did a great job and was pleasant to work with. Responsiveness was at times a bit delayed and he was a little bit late to the event because he had a conflict, but he let me know ahead of time. He brought tables and chairs and his own linens and plates. Food was great and well presented.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    pricing is dependant upon several factors: menu, date & time, location & duration. I offer all inclusive package such as: complete table setup, make-up artist, photography & dj services, tastings and more

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I do an initial consultation which is free of charge. We go over everything from the start time - end time, guest count, menu courses, etc. After which I send over a service agreement contract that lays out everything we have discussed. Once its signed and returned all payments must be made (3) days prior to the start date of the event

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have been the executive chef for the embassy suite hotel, Harvest 365 restaurant & grill, Thristy Pig BBQ and have been working in the industry for the past 11 years.
