Very nervous to start seeing a personal trainer but Phyllis makes it easy and comfortable. She customized workouts around what I liked and always brought something new to the table. I am going to Phyllis for personal training. I had tried personal training before, but found that most trainers are just people who decided they liked exercise and had no real expertise AND it cost a fortune. Phyllis has knowledge and experience, and she keeps in mind that I am 65. I am pretty healthy but the crazy "kill you kind of exercise" is not a wise choice for me. Phyllis challenges and pushes me but also doesn't damage my body!!! I know she works with young people and she designs their programs completely differently than mine...that is what a knowledgeable trainer can do. One of the many things I love about her is that she is on time, reasonably priced and listens to me and thus can teach me in a way that I learn - this is very rare and it is wonderful. I must say Phyllis is incredibly outstanding as a Personal Trainer. She is by far the most knowledgeable and experienced trainer I've worked with. She takes a special interest in training a new hirer. Extremely detailed oriented in knowing specifics about the individual so that she can tailor the entire session to your needs. She also is patient and really cares how her client is feeling. I have found in working with Phyllis you can be open with her and it works. Were previous trainers were not as apt to listen. When leaving my sessions not only do I feel refreshed, yet am excited to go back for the next one. Knowing she will instruct/teach and make an individual understand the entire workout. Phyllis is a great personal trainer who is very dedicated to her clients. She customizes her program around each clients individual needs and goals. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I start by talking with them about their needs on the phone. We then set up a session. At our first session we talk about their fitness goals, review their health history, take some physical assessment tests and do a light introductory workout! Of course, this is free!
