Ken and his team painted our home in Lake Forest and we were very pleased with the result. As with any paint job, much of their time was spent prepping the house (scraping, replacing older wood, shutter repair and replacement). Their workmanship and attention to detail was first class and resulted in a house that we are very proud to show to friends. It was a pleasure working with the team. They were very polite, cleaned up each night, and strove to minimize the disruption to our lives. In addition to painting, Ken's team replaced the stairs leading to our patio. They built a very attractive cedar stairway, which has received complements from our friends. I unequivocally recommend Ken and his team.

Ken and his company have painted my home several times. They saved me from a bad architectural paint treatment and completed the work in a very professional and CLEAN manner! I have 2 story walls in my home and they were able to complete 2 rooms, stairway and hall in while we were gone for a weekend... we left with construction grade white paint and came home to a beautifully painted home! They are also dog friendly!

Ken has done several Projects for myself & my clients in northeast Lake county and south east Wisconsin. Projects include: interior painting, wood trim stain & varnish, exterior painting, complete wood garage door restoration and maintenance painting. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Aside from on the job training as apprentices many years ago, we have training in decorative finishes from several Chicago area decorative arts schools, as well as training in interior decorating and design.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our workers all started as apprentices in the painting/drywalling trade while attending our respective universities, we all have at least a bachelor's degree.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently completed a decorative finish on cabinets in a living room. They were stained a dark color and we prepped and painted the basecoat (3 coats) and applied the finish, a stria glaze, over that. The duration was about 2 weeks, with 2 workers.
