- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the type of forms required to file your federal and state tax return. My base price will only change if your business or individual tax profile extends in a direction that requires additional tax forms. There is an additional e-filing fee added to my base price. This is a charge I pay out-of-pocket. It has been increasing about $5-$7 each year.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for onboarding new clients is as follows: - Create a secure client repository to upload and download all sensitive tax documents. - Clients sign (1) an Engagement Agreement which summarizes my responsibilities and (2) a Payment Authorization form (i.e. credit card or ACH debit). - Clients are sent a tax questionnaire to provide background. All tax documents (i.e. W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, etc.) are uploaded to the client repository for tax preparation. - When the tax returns are completed the client is emailed and asked to review the returns before they are e-filed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CPA and Enrolled Agent Admitted to Practice Before the IRS with more than 30 years of experience working in tax management and consulting positions in the Chicago area. I have an MBA in Finance. I am also a retired Adjunct Professor of Tax, Finance and Accounting for Chicago area universities and colleges where I taught for 15 years.
