Melissa is an amazing photographer. She has such a great eye for good shots, and she goes out of her way to find uniqueness in every photo. I have done several shoots with her, one dance troupe shoot, one engagement shoot, and most recently a boudoir shoot. She spend as much time as necessary with me and made the experience well worth it. The time and care she takes in shooting and editing the photos is clear in the quality of her work. I would (and do) recommend Melissa to anyone looking for any photography they need!

While having my senior pictures taken, it was quickly evident that Melissa has a natural artist's eye for lighting and color. She understands exactly how different light levels will work from camera to final portrait, and adjusts accordingly.
She was prompt and conversational, making the session very comfortable and light-hearted.

10,000 Words went above and beyond our expectations! Engagement photos, wedding photos, innovative shots, etc. Plus a second photographer on our wedding day and an album. We highly recommend 10,000 Words Photography!
