Kathy is an excellent trainer & very flexible. She takes time for you to become comfortable with the horse you will be riding & keeps you with the same horse to build a bond. Highly recomment
Louise was my instructor for many years, and was really a great and patient teacher! I would recommend her to anyone wanting to start horse back riding or get back into it.
Very knowledgable, patient instructor. Teaches you all about the care and way a horse thinks, and why you should do things as a rider. I feel I will be able to ride any horse with any type of tack.
Allison is kind, patient and knowledgeable, and she really cares about her horses like family members! Looking forward to many more enjoyable lessons!
Super friendly environment, and they seem to be a very supportive and kind place to ride! Once I have the funds, I'll be starting lessons!
As a rider that's been in and out of the horse scene for the last 12+ years, I wanted a refresher on a few things, and Jen was the answer. As an instructor, she is straight to the point, makes you work to achieve your goals, is very patient, and most importantly, has excellent communication skills. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or a seasoned rider looking to improve on things (we all need it at times), she's the ticket. Overall great teacher, horses that you can actually learn on, and a well run business. Highly recommended! Pat

I have been training in a classical balanced seat method for over 10 years. With various experiences in horses for over 20 years, I started with a BS in Equine Management from Midway College in Kentucky. Since then, I have continued to further my classical education by studying with such notable trainers as Cathy Wieschhoff , Jeurgen Helmut, Jessica Stark, Kim Barteau and Enrique Martinez. Currently I am studying with Marijke de Jong. For a number of years I taught Equine Studies at Kishwaukee Community College and was involved in development of the "Festival Of the Horse & Drum" held annually at the Kane County Fairgrounds.
I provide horsemanship lessons -- learn how to groom groundwork with a horse and riding lessons. Leasing options are available.
I offer English, Western, and bareback riding lessons and a lifetime of experience. I had a concentration in dressage and show jumping. I will work with you and your horse!

"Quality in Performance, Dedication, Achievement, and Excellence" -- These are the tenets of Christopher K. Taylor's riding and training philosophy that resulted from his studies with some of the world's most prominent American and European dressage experts. Chris is passionately committed to classical training, always striving for lightness, balance and harmony with a unique instructional style for both the horse and the rider. He asks a little at a time and praises often. The result has been happy, highly motivated horses and riders who can focus, as partners, on learning their art. Chris stresses "basics, basics, basics" and small incremental steps. He has observed that when horses derail in dressage, even at the highest levels, it is usually because the basic foundation has been ignored. He strongly believes that regardless of the discipline, any horse and rider will reap the benefits from dressage. This philosophy has proven its value for both Chris and his students. Chris has competed internationally at the FEI Grand Prix levels, has been FEI Champion in Prix St. Georges, and was selected to represent Bermuda at the 1999 Pan American Games. Lessons are offered from beginner through FEI. Chris also has regularly scheduled buying trips to Europe which clients can attend. All that is needed is a passport and a plane ticket. Lodging and transportation are provided.

PEC was started in 1986 by Ken Stien. Since then, it has become a best-kept secret in the Chicago land area for horse enthusiasts. Ken has been a professional in the equine industry for over 35 years, and his passion for horses is reflected in the knowledge he shares with students. PEC is also proud to have several staff members dedicated to the care and well-being of its horses. PEC Staff is always willing to answer any questions you may have over the phone or in person. We invite you to stop by and meet us!
We specialize in "small" group lessons - 4 to a group - segregated by level of ability. We also strongly encourage our riders to come out early and work on learning how to tack and groom their horse.
We are a dedicated smaller barn who takes the time teaching students while having fun. This is a no-pressure barn.
