The professionals at A1 Roofing were great with my Kitchen remodel! My wife and I showed them many photos and they were able to create the kitchen we wanted. they were timely and used quality materials! We definitely recommend them

BEWARE! They are SCAMMERS! I signed a contract on April 3, 2023 with Tony and sent a deposit via Zelle in the amount of $1,500.00 to start a project. Full payment was $2,500.00. The remainder was to be paid after work was done. Contract was drafted and signed. Work was to begin on April 10th and finished on April 12th. This is written into the contract. That Monday came and no one showed up. Tony was contacted and he said he had another job that he needs to finish and will be there on Wednesday the 12th. Wednesday came and nobody showed up. I called Tony around 11am and he told me he is at his brothers funeral. He then proceeded to tell me that the job will get done on Friday, April 14. Friday, April 14 came around and no one showed up for work. My husband called Tony and Tony mentioned that he is currently at the village hall filling out permits for the job and the village will have the permits on Tuesday, April 18. Tuesday, April 18 came and no one showed up for the job. I ended up calling Tony and asking for a refund of $1500 which is the amount I sent for the deposit to begin the work. He mentioned his nephew had a heart attack (probably another lie) and is in the hospital and will do his best. However, he promised the refund. I waited over 24 hours and no refund was processed. I called again and he directed me to the owner, and that the owners name is Chris. Chris ended up calling me and being very rude and arrogant . He said I can sue him if I want the money back. Trying to man-splain how businesses work and how refunds are processed. He mentioned this business is BBB accredited and it is not (I researched). He eventually said the refund would be processed by Saturday April 25th. April 25th came and the refund was never processed. I then emailed and ask where it was and a woman by the name of Christina Whisonant who claims to be the owner says that Chris is not authorized to approve a refund because he is not the owner. If he’s not the owner then I do not understand why I was directed to speak with him to begin with. Christina then mentioned in her email that she’s not obligated to issue a refund and she needs to contact her lawyers to draft paperwork. She mentioned a full refund on May 10. I got a email on May 10 saying her lawyers were out of town and the refund will be processed in several more days. It just seems like every time the day comes where the refund should be processed, there’s another excuse. Screenshots of emails below for proof. Avoid this company at all cost. It shouldn’t even be called a company the way that they are acting.

Krystyna, The circumstances of another job taking longer, the funeral attendance and the emergency with the heart attack are all true. We we willing to schedule the work around your schedule and work with you to complete it during this difficult time, but you instead cancelled the contract. Per our lawyer, we are not obligated to give a refund. We decided however, we will do so. Given the situation, all we asked for is patience during this trying time. We have been nothing but professional and will continue to do so. We have maintained contact throughout this process and the timeline for the refund to be received by you should not have caused this review to be posted.

Worst professional ever. They send a contract which is for namesake only and is never adhered to. The work done is below par, the photos after work speaks about itself on the work done and when asked the person says give it 72 hours things else to call them as they state the work is guaranteed but they never pick up the phone when called. They tell you their material is from factory directly but the material that one finds in local homedepot, they tell you they will use hot asphalt but it is again from a local store. Pathetic wok, will never recommend. Didn’t have an option to go below 1 star rating

Debabrata, We always answer our calls and if we are unable to immediately take your call, we will call you back as soon as possible. We never received a call or email from you about this or we would have ensured the problem was quickly fixed, as we treat our customers like family and want to ensure the job is done as stated in the contract. We here at A1 Roofing & Construction take our profession very seriously and would never use materials that are not commercial grade unless the situation calls for it, which is not the case here. We are perplexed as to why we are finding out about this through an online review. If there was any dissatisfaction brought to our attention through call, text, or email we would have fixed it without the need for this type of escalation. We always take the proper steps to ensure that our customers are fully satisfied. Upon seeing this review, we did reach out to you and were not able to come to an agreement with you due to your unwillingness to work with us. We received photos from the employee who performed the work and the driveway looks perfect and doesn't have any remaining cracks. The photos you have posted here appear to be the before photos and not the after. We would post them here, but thumbtack's response function will not allow us to post photos, so I will send them in our message chain on this site. I will also speak with thumbtack directly about getting the photos posted so all can see the work that was completed so this attempt to mar our company name will not be successful.
