Finding Khay to give sewing lessons to my 7 year old granddaughter has been such a wonderful experience. We are very pleased with everything she is learning. She has completed several projects for herself and is now sewing doll clothes for her baby doll. Khay is very knowledgeable in her craft and an excellent teacher.
I got an immediate response from Susan after my request for a seamstress on Thumbtack and could tell right away that she was punctual, polite and professional so hired her to sew a series of sheer curtains for the front of my house. We communicated via e-mail and she not only understood my rambling and somewhat vague request, but offered good solutions to my window treatment issues. She had great communication throughout the process and completed the work in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to hire Susan in the future.
Mr. McCray assured that my garment was made efficiently. My dress was made for my birthday and the fit, design , and over construction was fantastic. I received a countless number of compliments and felt great while wearing it . The results of my dress came out even better than expected, and because my expectations are very high this speaks volumes about the designer. I will continue on doing business with Delvin McCray for future events and celebrations because I know that greatness will be the result to any garment I will want designed by Delvin McCray.
Mary was wonderful! I highly recommend that anyone interested in sewing at any level. We had a consultation phone call where she asked more about my goals, my current skill level, etc. and we set up our first lesson, which went over the basics of the machine. Then I had 3 more lessons built around making a dress pattern I had bought. She was super flexible. For example, she will help you make pretty much anything. I made a dress, but I know she teaches men and at least one person who makes stuffed animals. She had no problems modifying the pattern by adding zippers if I wanted to learn that. And because I only had the one week to take lessons during my vacation, she also was able to figure out how to use the lessons so that I could do the other half on my own time. This reduced the number of lessons, helped me learn on my own, and I had a finished dress at the end of 4 two-hour lessons! The other thing I will say is Mary gets straight down to business. She definitely chats with you, but one thing that I always noticed in other people's lessons is they will stop whatever they are doing if a topic comes up in small chat. That wastes time and the lessons are short. Mary gets that and any time you are not actively sewing is spent explaining the next step. She'll chat while you're putting in pins, sewing something, etc. Lastly, it's awesome that she comes to you. I wanted to learn on my machine and she doesn't mind the trip, which I'm sure is at least 45 mins for her. It just made the whole thing a no brainer for me and I will be calling again the next time I need help with a project!

I asked Nina to sew a Halloween costume for me and she did an awesome job! She worked with me on my specifications, updated me on progress and finished the costume a week before my deadline. She gave positive feedback was creative and friendly and delivered a great product.
Anne is an amazing and talented seamstress, crafter and teacher. I employed her my costume shop for 6 years, 5 of which as my close assistant. Anne is friendly, patient and incredibly skilled at what she does. In my shop she instructed volunteers and employees from the most basic skill levels to the more advanced. She is not only skillful and professional, but also a great person to work with and will help you to sew and craft almost anything your imagination desires. I have seen her help build fantastical fairies, gorgeous historical costumes, steampunk outfits and even much of her own beautiful wedding crafts and decor. If I had the choice to work with anyone on a project I would chose Anne, because I would know she would help create the very best and have fun doing it.
My constructions of garments are impeccable. When the finish their garments and put them one they fit like a glove.

I am a quilter who focuses more on modern quilting rather that traditional quilting. This has many interpretations, but to me this typically means bright, bold colors, distinct designs, and abstractness, while still maintaining the classic utilitarianism of a more traditional quilt.
