Introduction: Classes are ongoing, and children can start up anytime We offer classes all week, including Saturdays and Sundays Classes are 30 or 45 minutes long, depending on what level class they are in Up to 4 children per class We have five different levels of classes and teach children as young as 6-months old We offer a parent/child class where mom or dad joins their child in the water There is no limit to what we teach children for that we can teach even the most advanced level of swimmer People are always surprised when I tell them that I teach swimming lessons for a living. What they fail to realize is that I don't just teach bubble blowing, floating and front crawl. I am teaching them a set of life skills that they will have for the rest of their lives. As a coach, I believe that having confidence is essential and I love to remind all of my students that they can accomplish anything, and everything, they set their minds to. I remember my very first water safety class: I had a child I was teaching who was autistic and afraid of the water. His mom expressed that she just wanted her son to have fun in the water and feel comfortable, only. After three consecutive weeks of swimming lessons, this child learned how to safely jump in the water, climb out of the pool, and swim about 10 feet out and return to the wall securely. From that moment on, I knew it was my mission to be a swimming instructor because of the passion that I put into teaching. That is just one story of the hundreds of stories throughout my four years of teaching swim lessons. I just enjoy teaching new skills to someone no matter if they are 6-months-old or 65-years-old, afraid, or not afraid. I think that the most rewarding part of it all is seeing a swimmer grow out of their fears and push past their limits.

I have been an athlete for some time but swimming has never been my strong suit. After injuring a tendon in my ankle, I had to take to the water to keep up my cardio training. Bill is an amazing coach. He takes his time and explains everything, taking the time to make sure you understand it. He can be as detailed as you need it to be (which for me was pretty detailed). He is very knowledgeable on the mechanics and makes it easy to pick things up. I would recommend him to anyone of any level.

Bill does a great job teaching my children swimming, especially with stroke technique. Bill is very professional and always on time for our lessons. Would highly recommend.

Bill is really patient and motivating with my kids. They are never nervous and always look forward to the lesson. My daoughter (3 yrs) used to cry during lessons, now just walks right up to the pool side and waits for BIll. My son can be a little distracted and Bill puts him right back into working on form and improving quickly!

My daughter was an average swimmer and wanted to make the New Trier Swim Club. I knew she needed swim lessons in order to have a chance at making the Team. One of my friends recommended Bill. Through his excellent coaching and instructional style, my daughter's swimming improved ten fold and she made the Team. I would highly recommend Bill for new swimmers as well as experienced swimmers who want to improve their time or stroke.

I met Bill when he was coaching the swim for TWT (Together We Tri). I am 68, a marathon runner and never swam as a kid. I was struggling... reinforcing all my bad habits. Bill has me swimming and doing things I never thought I could accomplish - like breathing both sides... making a MAJOR difference in my ability and enjoyment of swimming.
