Nathan's DJ Service features Elite Sound, Wireless Microphones, Lighting (Uplighting and Dance), Fog Machines, Karaoke (upon request), Early Setup, Travel, Wedding and Event Planning, and any songs of your choice. Every event comes with the services listed above at no extra charge! There are no hidden fees. My company is a unique DJ service that provides the full entertainment package for Weddings, Parties, Karaoke, Dances, or anything that needs music and announcements. I am hired often because of my microphone voice and my ability to keep the dance floor full all night. I am flexible as well, adapting to music requests and the special needs for each event. I have considerable experience, having DJ’ed for over 300 events, from small groups of people to crowds in the thousands. I can also provide ceremony service for your wedding. What really sets me apart from all other DJ companies is that I run a one man business. While other large DJ companies will surprise you with a random DJ on the day of your event, I am the one person who will help you plan your special day, help you select music, and will be the one actually DJing for you when the big day arrives! This gives you the confidence that your event will be given the care and special attention it deserves, without the surprises. Also, in case you are wondering if I have certain songs, the answer is yes. My music library consists of over 300,000 songs from the 40’s and 50’s, all the way to the Top 40 songs of the 2010’s. I encourage everyone I entertain for to relax and enjoy their special day, as I handle all the details for you. I personally have been to many events and weddings where the DJ was sub-par, and it is hard to watch. It gives me great pleasure to know that I can directly affect the outcome of any event in a positive way. What I love most about DJing events is Music. It is exciting to me to see the different trends in music and peoples different tastes in music. At every event I see something new that I've never seen before. It is an ever-changing profession that pushes me to be at my best at every event. I only require a small deposit of $100 to reserve your special day on my calendar! WE booked Nate through Thumbtack for our wedding in Peoria, Il on July 26 and he did a Fantastic Job keeping everyone entertained and keeping the night moving! He arrived an hour before the event to set up, he did a good job with music selection (because we have a lot of older relatives we needed a certain kind of music), and he kept the dance floor full all night! The lighting was also great and was free with the event I would recommend Nate for anything because he was professional and very cheap compared to the other DJ's we were looking at through thumbtack. You never know what you are going to get with DJ's sometimes, but he came through and was very professional and organized. Would book him again!

We booked Nathan for our annual Holiday Party after hearing him at my sister's wedding and he did an amazing job! He played the type of music we requested and sprinkled in some classics to keep the dance floor full (quite the chore at our parties!) Not only was his music selection and equipment top notch but he met with me prior to the event to make sure we were on the same page with everything. He made all the right announcements at the appropriate times and worked with the venue staff to make sure things ran smoothly. Nathan is very passionate about what he does and it shows. He is very professional and his prices are reasonable. You can trust him when it comes to music selection and agenda! Everyone keeps raving about the party, thanks Nathan!!

I contracted with Nathan's Professional DJ Service through Thumbtack to furnish entertainment at my wedding on August 1 in Columbia, South Carolina. Having not met Nathan in person, I was hesitate at first. My first conversation with Nathan put me at ease and the process was extremely professional with communication through email and via phone. Nathan did everything and more as he promised. He was on time, set up and prepared with our song list and ready to make sure that we and our guests enjoyed our special celebration. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My goal is to make Professional DJ services affordable for everyone. All too often DJ's will overcharge their clients for less-than-professional service, and I am looking to change that aspect in this industry. Professional DJ Service does not have to cost over $1000. My rates are simple: $100/hour and I will travel up to 50 miles in Charleston, SC. Anything over 50 miles and I charge a small fee for gas to travel to the location.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an expert in public speaking and communications. I currently have a Masters in Business Administration with a minor in public speaking. I always keep up on the latest music trends and update my music library once every three months. My MBA helps me run my business, while my music knowledge helps me keep in touch with the music industry.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I never consciously made a decision to get into this line of work. This line of work chose me. My first DJ event was a free one for my brother's wedding. By the end of the event, I had several requests to DJ other events like weddings, birthday parties, and reunions. From there, it was only a matter of getting my own state of the art equipment and forming a business on my own.
