Introduction: It's all about relationships. It's about the relationship we establish with your dog, but more importantly, it's about the relationship we establish with you... Trust. Care. Results. The best part of my passion (it's much more than a job) is seeing lives change... the lives of both owner and canine companion.

We adopted our lovely Libby from Naperville Area Humane back in Aug of 2013. She is a 2 year old shepard/lab mix and weighs approx 75 lbs. After getting her home and numerous "walk" attempts we did some research and decided to contact Prairie Path Dog Training (Jeff). He responded to my call within the day and we set up training sessions from there. Being Libby was our first pet I was nervous to take her out because I could NOT handle her on the leash. She pulled tremendously and didn't listen to me very well. So Jeff was flexible and courteous to come to us (we live a short distance from him). From Aug 2013-April 2014, Jeff's training expertise has turned our pet around. She responds to all the commands we have worked on and the pulling has decreased almost entirely, (still working on squirrel and rabbit desensitizing though). Jeff has made a world of difference in Libby and addressed all of our current needs. We plan to use PPDT for future training lessons we may need. Serena N.

I would strongly recommend Blue Bridge Dog Training. My husband and I have an 8 year old miniature schnauzer, Emmy Lou, who had never received any formal training. Generally, she was a sweet dog but definitely had some obedience problems. For example, should would always jump up on people, dig at their feet, and get overly excited when guests came over. One time my friend and her baby came over and Emmy Lou barked so loudly repeatedly that I couldn't even hear my friend talk. Emmy Lou also jumped up when my friend picked up her baby. I was so mortified by my dog's behavior, I knew I had to get professional help. I found Jeff's information online and we met. Instantly I knew he would be a good match to help us with our dog. We met for 6 private lessons. He helped us train her to obey commands such as sit, down, stay, place, etc. In between sessions, my husband and I worked diligently to train her at home. We practiced every single day. It takes a lot of work and dedication to make a difference. Jeff also helped by getting Emmy to stop pulling on her leash during walks and instead walk beside us. Learning these basic commands helps us immensely in our every day lives. It means we can have company over and our dog will lie down on her bed instead of jumping up at guests, barking at babies, or begging for food. It means we can go for walks in public and she won't pull on the leash. It made owning a dog so much more pleasant and enjoyable overall. We had our own baby this past winter, and having the confidence that the dog would obey and not be too excited around the baby was a big relief. If we didn't do the training, I am certain we would've been so frustrated and upset by the dog's actions. But now we are happily coexisting and things are much more peaceful and playful. Having this training ensures a much healthier, happier existence for everyone in our family!

I have a very active Australian Shepherd. She is a ball of energy and it became obvious I would need some guidance in training her to become a joyful part of our family. I searched and spoke to a few trainers. Then I came across Blue Bridge Dog Training. In talking to Jeff I recognized he had a calm demeanor. He was clear in his explanation of his philosophy of dog training and had multiple options of training available. As I am retired and had the time to invest, I chose personal training for my dog and I. We had a lesson each day, then we both had homework to do. Each day built on the previous day--review of the previous, then introduction of a new skill. Jeff was patient with both of us. The puppy caught on much quicker than I did! Jeff's facility is conducive to learning. Questions were encouraged and answered completely. Jeff remains available by phone if I have questions related to my training. I highly recommend Blue Bridge Dog Training.

Our experiences with Blue Bridge Dog Training have been excellent. The training and kennel services for our Lab, Molly, have by far, exceeded our expectations. The love of animals and superior knowledge of training is more than a five star rating and I would so highly recommend this outstanding facility. The cleanliness and accommodations are what I would refer to as a "doggy resort"!
