- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I think it's helpful to get referrals from people they know, who are happy with their provider. I also think it helps to be honest and express any apprehension they may feel when starting to see a therapist. Good therapists welcome feedback and make adjustments accordingly. In addition, it helps if the therapist is experienced with your particular issues. Finally I think it's important to know if a therapist is flexible and develops treatment plans, unique to each individual.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish clients knew how helpful therapy can be, during various periods of their life. I'd like them to know how therapy can teach them ways of preventing similar, future crises and achieving resilience, preparing themselves to cope better, when faced with future challenges.
