FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a range of pricing designed to meet your/your student's needs. Each case is unique, but for a general sense ... Sometimes a quick edit is all you want (grad students - I'm looking at you). This might range between $100-150. Other times you need brainstorming, follow-up and review on one essay. This ranges from $350-500. And sometimes you just want be assured that every app to every school is taken care of - start to finish. This typically starts around $1000, and is priced based on number of schools, length of essays, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we talk! If it's a college applicant, I usually start by talking with the parent about the process, timing, what you're looking for. Once we agree to move forward, I communicate directly with your student, with the occasional check-in with you. It's so important that your student feels comfortable relying on me, and, honestly, it's part of what makes this go well! If you're applying to grad school, med school or law school - you usually reach out directly to me, and we work out a plan for what makes sense. In either case, we should all feel comfortable that we know what's happening and when before we move forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've got a Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California Annenberg School. This gave me the background I needed to launch a successful communication career, including exceptional consulting and writing skills. I've also got a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. This speaks to my soft skills as someone who can help alleviate the stress, calm the frazzled nerves and focus on what's important.
