Hello, my name is Amie S. On the night of November 30th my husband (Brian) and I went to our newly finished basement and realized our main sump pump as well as our backup sump had failed. Brian immediately got online to find a company to guide us in what steps to take to begin to fix the problem. He decided on Dry Force due to the awesome reviews he found online. He connected with Peter at 10:15pm that night. By 11:30pm Peter and another guy stopped by to assess the damages. Unfortunately, our basement had quite a bit of water soaked into the carpet, but Peter assured us that we were very lucky to have caught the problem as early as we did.The next morning by 8:30am Peter and his crew were back at the house and had everything set up perfectly for the best drying conditions. They did all the demolition and had everything set up for us so quickly. Peter and his crew were so professional, and they spent so much time explaining the process and answering all of our questions.(mostly mine ) The work that the guys did was so impressive that the insurance adjuster asked for Peter's business card! When I had the painters come in to repaint, the owner of the company was also incredibly impressed with the work/demolition, the wrapping of tv's/furniture, and the clean-up that he also asked what company we used. Luckily, I asked Peter prior to completing the job if I could have a couple business cards, so I gave the painter a card as well. As much as I appreciated all the hard work Dry Force did for us, I was hoping not to have to ever see my beautiful basement ruined again! Well, life doesn't always work out the way we hope :(On December 27th, the electrician and I went into the basement because he was going to run a separate fuse for the back-up sump and unbelievably, my basement was wet AGAIN!!!! After looking further, we realized the painters unplugged the 2 sump pumps for their drying equipment and forgot to plug them back in (although they denied unplugging them, no one was in the basement except the 3 painters). As expected, I was furious, very sad and couldn't believe what was happening! The first person I called after talking to my husband was Peter. Again, the Dry Force Experts were on the job so quickly. Peter again was so professional and reassured us that we were lucky to have not had the new carpeting reinstalled. It was truly a Deja vu moment. As I write this tonight, the fans, dehumidifiers, and the air purifiers are working hard downstairs. Peter took the time the first water incident and explained to me what the screens on the dehumidifiers meant and what our goal temperature and humidity level we should be at. Throughout both processes I have frequently gone downstairs to check how things were going and would kind of laugh at myself as I would tap each screens "acting" like I knew what I was doing in front of whoever came to the basement with me .By Friday, Peter is hopeful that the equipment will all be ready to be taken out again. I will again stress to him how very grateful I am for the highest level of service, quality, and follow through I've ever seen from a company!!!! I was here every weekday for four and a half months while our basement was being finished and although I am very pleased with the company we choose, I have never had a company/contractor reach the level of professionalism Dry Force did. I cannot even express my gratitude for all the endless help Peter and the guys have done for us. Thank you so very much for hiring the quality of individuals you have hired. With much appreciation-Amie

BUYER BEWARE. While the quality of the work performed was up to our standards, the overall cost to dry our basement was over $30K and was not ultimately fully covered by our insurance company despite assurances from Peter that he would only bill us for services that are standard in a water mitigation claim. We had to pay over $3K out of pocket as a result. We were completely in the dark about the process so we trusted Peter to guide us, which was ultimately a big mistake . We also had to deal with multiple emails a week about payment, threats to lien our house if we didn’t pay, all when again, we were told Peter was excellent at working with insurance companies. So you might start off having a good experience but then wind up with a headache and a $3K bill like we did.

Dry Force Restoration Inc.'s reply
Hello Hannah, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I appreciate your initial commendations on our quality of work. I do want to clarify, however, that we made it very clear any amounts not covered by the insurance carrier would be the homeowner’s responsibility. In this case, 90% of your claim was approved and paid, which is usually considered a success. Moreover, we provided clear instructions to forward any additional receipts for discrepancies that you paid out-of-pocket to your insurer for coverage. This should lead to reimbursement for those amounts, assuming your carrier handles it appropriately. We’ve communicated this repeatedly via emails, texts, and phone conversations. I truly apologize if our explanations were not as clear as they should have been. Please feel free to call us anytime if you have further questions or need additional assistance. We are here to help. Warm regards, Peter Oleynik Service Manager Dry Force Restoration Inc.
