Introduction: Hello... I do NOT offer Face Painting. With that out of the way... I am Grampy and I have been specializing in magic for children for the last 40+ years. My motto is "It's not the destination, but the ride getting there." In other words it's all about having FUN getting to the end of the trick. Being a grandpa with 15 grandkids I know what it takes to entertain children. Kids LOVE Grampy's Magic and ALWAYS have a great time! I NEVER do any types of tricks that may be considered dangerous (because kids tend to try and repeat things) ,so NO FIRE, NO SWORDS or ROPES THRU NECKS, ETC. Though kids love them, I do not use live animals in my act. Although I specialize in magic for children, I also perform "big kid" magic including a mix of slight of hand and some mentalism. My rates START at $150 for a 45 minute professional fun-filled , interactive children's/family magic show. You may also add BALLOON TWISTING to the show for an additional $50. Paul Mateer did a fantastic job entertaining 30+ children at the age group of 7 years old at my daughters recent 7th birthday party. He arrived at the party site with more than adequate time to set up and prepare for his presentation. He kept the kids attention the entire time and allowed them to interact with him. The kids loved his magic tricks. I would recommend Paul to anyone who is seeking a magician for their kids birthday party.

The children of the American Legion family absolutely loved Grampy and his balloon art. He was very kind, courteous, punctual, and has the patience of a saint. Great value for loads of fun!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I require no deposit, but all payments are to be made in cash only on the day of the event. Gratuity not included.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss the event and determine how much time is needed. Balloon twisting, for example, requires approx. 2-3 minutes per child per design. After acquiring all the necessary information, I will follow up with a call a day or 2 before the event to make sure all is well and the event is still on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing magic for over 50 years and have learned a lot from some great masters of the art. I am also GrandPa to 16 grandchildren...
