Introduction: We offer wedding ceremonies in the Catholic\Christian religious traditions customized to your tastes and desires. We are a progressive reform of the Roman Catholic Church and allow wedding ceremonies at any location you desire -- outdoors, banquet halls, homes, etc.
At the Free Catholic Church of the Epiphany, we believe that the sacraments, including marriage, are meant for all. We are not in the business of placing undue restrictions on who or where you can celebrate these sacraments.
Rules get in the way; we believe in leaving the most room for you and your individual set of circumstances. You will find us very accommodating and ready to work with you to plan a celebration that suits you, your needs, your taste, and your location.
Don't hesitate to contact us to start your celebration planning. Although we are in the western suburbs of Chicago, we often travel to Galena and other picturesque locations for weddings.

Father Cronan was great to work with. I found him to be very accommodating and extremely helpful. Since I was working under
a self- imposed time limitation, I needed flexibility in scheduling
a location and time for my marriage. Father Cronan exhibited a sincere willingness to work within those parameters. He was instrumental in making my marriage possible. My wife and I were
very pleased with the marriage ceremony that Father Cronan conducted on our behalf. He was very wiling to meet our needs
and provided options for making our marriage ceremony a success. He even took pictures ( It was a very small, private
wedding) for us! He was very prompt, highly professional , warm,
and caring, all with an engaging sense of humor.

I cannot say enough great things about Father David. He came into our lives four years ago when he married my husband, Dave, and I. It was our dream to get married in Galena, Illinois, which is a very special place for our family. I got in contact with Father David several months before our big day to explain to him my vision for our wedding. He explained to us the foundation of the Free Catholic Church of the Epiphany which was exactly what we were looking for as my husband is Methodist and I am Catholic and we felt it was a terrific blend between our two faiths. We met with Father David several times before our wedding to get to know each other and discuss the details of our big day. Dave and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent getting to know Father David and believe this made our ceremony so down-to-earth and personal. It was like we got married by a friend who seemed to have known us for years. During the ceremony, Father David talked about us individually and how we are together. We were both so nervous and he did a wonderful job breaking the tension and making us laugh. His comments throughout the ceremony were witty and memorable. So many of our guests told us what a wonderful job he did and how much they enjoyed our ceremony. Father David did a beautiful commentary during our sand ceremony explaining the joining of two hearts into one and started our reception with a prayer. There was absolutely nothing more that Father David could have been done to make our "special day" even more special.
I also wanted to mention how Father David has continued to bless us in our lives. He prayed for our family in the passing of my Grandfather two years ago. When my husband and I announced we were expecting our first child, he reached out to us and told us how excited he was for our growing family. When our son, Matthew, was born, Father David did us the honor of baptizing him in front of our family and friends at my parents' home in Batavia. He delivered an absolutely beautiful ceremony for our baby boy and made this special day so wonderful for us and our family. Father David has also been there for advice and guidance when my husband lost his job this year. As I mentioned above, I cannot say enough great things about Father David. He is a wonderful man and truly a blessing to know.

Father David was not only caring, but very personal with our wedding service! He made our day very special. We met with him a few times before our wedding day sharing ideas and thoughts with our wedding. He was very thorough with explaining any questions we had with the ceremony. I would highly recommend Father David. We will defiantly use him to baptize our children when that day comes! Our ceremony was at Medinah Shriners Banquets it was around 30 minutes, and not a boring minute! Overall he is an amazing person and we know if we ever need any advise we can always contact him and he would help us with open arms!

Father David was a major part of our wedding in Apple River, IL (near Galena, IL). We met with Father David on multiple occasions for months leading up to the wedding. He was helpful in getting us organized and prepared for the big day and life after the big day! Father David was great during the ceremony. Throughout the night, we received multiple compliments on him from so many people. We especially liked how welcoming he was toward everyone. I would recommended Father David to anyone who truly enjoys life. We look forward sharing our journey of life and marriage with Father David Cronan.

Fr. David was the officiant for our summer wedding in 2014. He came highly recommended by our close friends who had been married by him the previous year. We were thrilled with our experience with him! He was incredibly easygoing and was a pleasure to work with. Fr. David was flexible and was willing to travel to meet us at a convenient location that best suited our needs, which was extremely helpful as we lived over an hour apart! He did an incredible job officiating our wedding and was a HUGE hit with our guests. Everyone loved him! Thank you again, Fr. David. We can't thank you enough for doing such an outstanding job for us!
