FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing that I want to know from a customer is - Do they know what they want? If so, then I can quickly get out an estimate. If not, then we set out on a design process. I am not a designer but after 20 years of doing this I have a seen what works and what doesn't. During this process I am trying to problem solve and also determine if the customers priority is price, quality or speed. After we have an approved estimate then I collect a deposit and send out an insurance certificate and we get to work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been lucky enough to work next to some accomplished craftsman. That has been the greatest education. Other then that, I have been certified as a Lead Renovator by the Environmental Management Institute, I have a certification in Weatherization, I have attended several workshops and seminars. Also I read monthly publications in my field and have read and reread The Residential Building Code.
