FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we will sit down and come up with a goal, talk about previous health and occupation. We will then perform a static assessment, dynamic assessment, strength assessment and if need be measure joint ranges of motion. From there I will gather my findings and then design a program in which we reach the goal, and then improve daily functions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a student studying physical therapy. Approaching each client from an almost clinical perspective allows me to understand fully what muscles are behaving appropriately, and which ones need extra attention. I have an associates degree, a certification in corrective exercise and am continuing onto my bachelors degree, with intentions of graduate school. I also have numerous hours shadowing under physical therapists, chiropractors, and personal trainers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love and passion for sports really started my work in this field. As a player I was hurt a lot, and if it weren't for the trainers, and coaches I would not have been the player as I was, nor would I have seen the field/court as often.
