Introduction: Katrina Heitzman has been studying music for over 20 years. After graduating from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, IN; Katrina went on to attain her bachelors degree in music as well as pursue her masters degree in choral conducting and vocal performance from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN.
Directly after college, Katrina began teaching private lessons in both voice and piano, group lessons in music appreciation, keyboard classes, opera and jazz workshops, and music and movement classes for preschool-aged children.
A move to Illinois gave Katrina the opportunity to teach private voice lessons at Pekin High School in Pekin, IL as well as assist with accompanying services. While at Pekin, she also judged solo and ensemble, organizational and show choir competitions hosted at the high school. Katrina was also selected as the featured soloist for the Peoria Municipal Band and was an active member of the company of Opera Illinois.
Katrina currently travels throughout the state of Indiana as an adjudicator for Indiana State School of Music Association (ISSMA) solo and ensemble contests, as well as the Jr. Festival South solo competition held at the University of Indianapolis.
Katrina also performs professionally throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding areas.
