I have been taking lessons on bass with Gareth for a month now. His musical knowledge is impressive. I have received multiple compliments stating how much better I have gotten in that short amount of time. Each lesson is specific to me and the theory behind it is explained. This isn't learn to play song X and be done with it. His goal is to make me a great musician not just a song player. Gareth is definitely an instructor I would recommend to anyone looking for music lessons.
Brenda is awesome and am happy to find her through Thumbtack. She is very professional, patient and friendly. My daughter really enjoys her guitar lessons from her.
We aren't meeting until July because of my schedule not hers. She's been great to work with and get a date scheduled. I'm looking forward to my daughter taking piano and voice lessons with her. I couldn't be more thrilled. She responds quickly. Such an answer to our prayers for my daughter.
I signed up for voice lessons with Sarah, she was a great teacher and instructor.
I am brand-new to guitar! I'm still having lessons with Scott, but I'm about 5 lessons in and still learning at a reasonable pace! Scott is a talented guitar player and a very knowledgeable and patient instructor. I look forward to learning more!
I took voice and piano lessons from David for a period of about three years and always found him to be encouraging, reliable, and meticulous in his work, not to mention the fact that he is an absolute expert in his field as well as an outstanding performer. He meets you at your individual level and helps you select music that challenges you to grow as a musician even as it suits your ability at the time. He then pinpoints areas where you could improve, giving you helpful feedback and personal exercises tailored to addressing those areas where you could become better. He also gives you valuable coaching on all aspects of performance, including tips on your carriage, how to show emotion, and phrasing the music to name a few. I would enthusiastically recommend taking lessons from him whether you are interested in recreational lessons or becoming a professional performer. He will inspire you to reach beyond what you thought you'd be able to do and help you to reach your goals.
Stephen is great to work with. He was willing to walk me through buying a guitar and amp to get started. Super excited for my lessons!
I am a guitar/voice student with Bart at Reno's and he's great! I call him "The Song Doctor" because he revives songs I bring in with technique and great ideas! He is an amazing guitarist and patient teacher, even when I struggle. He knows music theory well and can teach this knowledge in an understandable and interesting way. Lessons are fun and non intimidating. Reno's Music is cool and I always feel welcome.
After choosing Clayton, I knew he would be a great teacher. Since I am a beginner, he has worked with me at a really slow pace--but I still feel like I learn something new during each lesson. I have improved a lot already and I know it's because Clayton is a great teacher. He knows a lot about guitars and guitar playing, I'm really glad I picked him!
My granddaughters have been receiving piano and voice lessons for several years. They continually improve and love it! The enjoy participating in the plays and showcases and the family always has a great time when attending the extra activities, also.
Sabrina is teaching piano to my Kindergarten-aged twins. She is great with young kids and their parents. She's very flexible with her teaching, willing to adapt to the style that fits them best. The lessons have included a conga drum to learn keeping time, as well as opening up the piano to show how the inside works. The learning environment in her home is very relaxing, and helps to calm my very energetic boys. When my boys do get distracted, she can effectively rein them back in or use their curiosity as a teachable moment when appropriate.
He is very patient, and he has lots of experience teaching guitar. He can customize his class for different students.
If you want to learn to play the bass guitar and perform in a band as a professional or learn to play just for the fun of it, bass guitarist Rick Bozzo teaches.
I am currently on my second semester as a music education student at UIndy. I am interested in giving lessons to flute players, beginning piano students, and music theory.
I feel that my welcoming personality and enthusiasm for sharing what I know are two things that set me apart from others.
The point of learning an instrument is to enable you to play the music you love. I will only teach you what you want to learn. I will not obligate you to learn a song you didn't choose just so that you can learn some obscure technique. You tell me what's been playing in your playlists and I will help you learn that song.
I offer guitar/bass guitar lessons to those wanting to learn how to play and to those wanting to further their playing skills. Beginning, intermediate and advanced players are welcome to contact me.
I teach and perform music in the Indianapolis area. I have a BA in Music Performance and Composition as well as 11 years of experience in piano performance and 3 years of experience as a choral section leader. My area of specialty is in music theory.
Teaching each student with fun, effective techniques is what I do best. Not only will they learn, but they will also enjoy learning.
