My two oldest daughters began taking lessons from Janelda three years ago when they were just 4 and 6 years old. Janelda has the ability to notice each child's unique learning style and tailor the lesson to meet their specific needs and produce an optimum learning experience. She is patient and creative when teaching, which benefited my younger daughter especially since most 4 - 6 year olds don't have a 30 minute attention span. She utilizes teaching tools such as the "piano carpet" which gave my girls the opportunity to move around a bit and learn at the same time. Now that my girls are 7 and 9, Janelda does a wonderful job of mixing theory, technique, and popular music in a way that keeps my children engaged and interested in their lessons. Above all, Janelda's genuine love of music is evident in every lesson she teaches and has fostered that same love of music in my children. While my girls are becoming quite the little pianists, I see the benefits of their lessons in many facets of their lives. My youngest daughter, who recently turned one, can't wait until she is old enough to start piano lessons with Janelda just like her big sisters!

Janelda has been teaching my daughter, Emily, for just over a month now. Emily is always so excited to go to her lessons, and really enjoys working with Janelda. Working with children can prove to be difficult at times, but Janelda has plenty of patience with her (even when she gets distracted) and keeps the lessons fun. She is great at getting Emily to focus on what she is teaching her and she has learned so much already. I am very pleased with Janelda's lessons, and look forward to seeing my daughter grow musically with her help!

My daughter has been student of Janelda for past four years now. Her teaching style is outstanding. She teaches lessons suited to the personality of each student. we will continue our lessons with her and would not trade for any other teacher.

Janelda is my kids' (5 and 3) piano teacher -- and their grandma. And I have to say we couldn't be happier. She is keeps it so fun for them, she provides great curriculum and helps me know what pace of progress to expect from each of them, and she helps me know how I can help them practice through the week.

She is great with what she does. My 2 sons have just started with her and I can see their desire to keep learning improving by the day. They are both beginners and they've already shown progress in just 2 sessions. I don't have to tell them to practice, they look forward to it every morning. And my kids would not trade video games for anything. Thanks to Janelda. Price is reasonable too.
