Jack did an amazing job hanging curtain rods in my apartment. It's an old building and the walls are thick but Jack brought the right tools to get the job done quickly and accurately.
Darrell and Cardell helped me install a permanent dance pole in my apartment. The pole came with (almost) everything we needed. Darrell did a great job with making up the difference for everything that we needed to get the pole installed properly, and more importantly he made it safe and secure for me to be swinging my body weight around. This installation is something that took a little ingenuity and creative thinking to make it work and Darrell had both! Darrell and Cardell got the job done on the day that we agreed on, even though he had to stay a little longer than planned. He saw that I was determined to have the job finished that day and they went the extra mile to make sure the pole was installed safely and on time. I will definitely call on Darrell again for any future home projects. Thanks for a great experience!
These guys are great. We are so happy we found them after 3 years of sub-standard lawncare for our condo. We will be using Juan and his team for as long as we are in the building. They are highly recommended and do fantastic work. Good value too.
Hello, I recently hired this company to do some work on galvanized fence , and wroughtiron fence . I was satisfied with the work which was done entirely outdoors at freezing temperatures. It took longer than expected and was delayed by the first snow of the season in December in Chicago (about 4 inches) yet it was brought into completion as soon as possible under the circumstances. Robert is reliable, responsible, trustworthy And knows what he was doing. I will certainly hire him again Anna
Building our gazebo
Love there work put in a new fence and hauled away old fence and other items away on time and professional
Jacob and Dave did a phneomal job helping me move from one studio to another. They were responsive and transparent during the reservation process and arrived on time the day of. I felt awful that they had to deal with some unforeseen problems (my building double booked moves causing them to move their U-Haul a few different times.) They kept their cool and never got frustrated (unlike me!) They were efficient and properly secured everything for the move, a lot of which was glass, and everything was safe. Thank you both. I would hire you again in a a heartbeat!
Curtis Malone was excellent. We asked him to match our next door neighbor's fence precisely, and that is what he did! First, he came to the house and asked a lot of detailed questions about the job that showed he was predicting where there might be challenges in the job. his wuote was very thorough. He was NOT the low bidder. We went with him because the low bidder had not noticed the potential challenges of the job, so we felt more comfrtable going with someone who might charge a bit more but get it right the first time. That is exactly what he did. We are very happy with our fence/gate and will call him again if we have any ironwork needs in the future,
Calderon steel came out to fix my rod iron fence. It was a small area but rewired some welding. They were able to take the piece and get it fixed, then bring it back and reinstall it. They did a good job and charged a fair price. I would recommend themfor your project or repair.
Everything went well and the new fence looks great. Exactly what I asked for, it is solid and secure.
A+++ David explained the process to be before completing the work, priced the project fairly, completed the project on time, and did a fantastic job on my fence. I would recommend David for any of your fencing needs!
Eight years after my custom wood fence was installed, I found myself having to tie one of the fence posts to the tree in my backyard to prevent the fence from falling/flying away the next time a strong wind came along. Since the fence was originally custom built onsite, I knew that a cheap, store purchased fence fix was not going to maintain the existing aesthetic. Earl, at Chicago Wood Care Company, reached out to me directly conveying an genuine shared appreciation for wood as a material and the importance of its handling, characteristics, and aesthetic. Extremely accommodating, Earl was able to come out to the house early one morning before I left for work to view the fence and assess the problem. Earl immediately expressed a course of remedy and his confidence in himself to execute the repair. A quote arrived via email from Earl and a date was set to begin the work. Friendly, eager, honest, reliable, skilled/talented and trustworthy speaks to Earls person. The level of Earls workmanship is measurable by that of the highest standard. Earl was able to do the work without my having to be at home. This was very important to me. My fence never stood so straight and level as it now does. A recent high wind forecast didnt give me a moment of worry. I thought Earls quote was fare albeit not the cheapest. This was just one of those things you need to pay a little bit more for to get the job done right while extending the life of a fence that will one day need to be replaced altogether.
We have a rather large yard by suburban standards and were looking to replace the old rickety wooden fence surrounding it. We had Castle come out to review the project and give us an estimate. From the first day of working with them to the last day when the fence was fully installed, it was a complete pleasure and a great experience culminating in a beautiful fence! They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it and for what they said it was going to cost with no hidden surprises. Patrick and his crew were hardworking, respectful of our property, and professional. They went above and beyond making sure that everything from the permits to the removal of the old fence and deck to the prepping of the yard and the installation of the new fence went as smoothly as possible. We couldn't be happier with their work and with our new fence. The craftsmanship is absolutely gorgeous! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!
They were quick and resourceful. Have agate that won't open and they carried mower over fence.
Brass Lawn Care fixed 10 posts on my backyard fence. They got everything done pretty quickly in one day, and they had by far the best price out of 5 other quotes. We've paid them by check and at this point in time, I am just waiting for the receipt which is to be emailed to me.
I highly recommend using Hammell Homes for contractor work. Hammell Homes worked on a couple of projects in my building. Both projects were done with quality and at a fair price. I will definitely use Hammell Homes again for any housing repairs/projects in the future. Brian L.
I love my new fence! Great customer service and they were able to complete the work in 1 day and it looks great
Needed to replace a old chain link fence on my property. While Google-ing, I ran across this site and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I took the plunge and gave Mr. Lee Johnson my business. He was courteous, punctual and efficient. I can't leave out fast. I will be using him to complete my yard in the future and I will certainly tell my friends/family about his great work. He cleaned up and hauled away the old fence for me. Thank you Thumbtack for having this site and thank you Lee for all of your great work. P.S. my neighbor approached him while he was completing my fence and seen that he was doing a great job and wanted to use him herself.
These guys did an excellent job! Everyone was prompt and professional, they finished when they said they would and our fence looks amazing. We recommended them to our neighbor and they had the same results. When it comes to contractors, these guys are as good as it gets! Thanks again Allpro !
repaired my fence panel, and changed my ceiling light and Installed it with a fan Been 5months no issues
Please know that I highly recommend Freddy Diaz of 3B’s Contracting for residential home improvement work. I hired 3B’s, and specifically Freddy Diaz, to do a complete renovation of a two bed, two bath condo in Glenwood, IL. I live in Minnesota so I needed someone I could trust to do the job without my on-site supervision. I was given a referral to Freddy and contacted him. He met me later that day to estimate the job. A couple weeks later he provided me a complete, detailed proposal. We met one more time at the condo and I signed the contract, gave him a deposit of about half the contract and the keys and returned to Minnesota. In fact, I soon left for about a month out of the country! When I returned to Glenwood about a month later, the job was essentially complete! Again, this was a complete renovation. All the floor coverings were removed and new carpet, vinyl and ceramic tile installed. Old wallpaper was scraped off and walls patched and painted. All new kitchen appliances, sink and quartz counter tops were installed. Cabinets were repainted. All new bathroom fixtures and controls were installed. Light fixtures, electrical outlets and switches were replaced with new. Exterior windows were returned to operational condition. Nothing was left untouched. Freddy encountered some minor issues in my absence which he dealt with while keeping the project within budget and completed on schedule. I received compliments from the building management on how Freddy’s crew cleaned up the hallways and elevator each day they were on the site. In summary, I am extremely pleased with the finished apartment and most satisfied with how easy Freddy made the process. He was sensitive to budget concerns and helped make selections that kept the cost down. He proved to be extremely trustworthy and more than competent. He communicates well and was always responsive to my questions. I could not be happier with the results of the project.
