After a terrible experience with the Turbo Tax "experts" I decided to find a different tax professional to help me with my returns. This year was the first year I used Jessica Minor Consulting, LLC and I'm so glad we decided to use her services. Jessica is absolutely amazing, and I can’t say enough good things about her as a professional and as a person. Jessica helped me file an amendment to my 2018 taxes as well as my current year taxes (2021) which were a little more complicated than usual since we sold our home the previous year. Jessica was quick to respond to all my questions and I felt completely informed during the whole process. What I loved most about Jessica Minor Consulting is the team she has behind her. Her team is a great support when tax issues present themselves that are outside of the scope of her expertise (and she has a lot of expertise). In those instances, Jessica is quick to tap into her team to ensure she gets you the right answers in a short amount of time.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    We charge an hourly rate for our bookkeeping and general accounting services. Full service clients are charged a flat monthly rate agreed upon before services begin. Tax preparation is flat rate and determined on complexity of return and number of forms completed.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We typically set up a free 30 minute consultation to discuss accounting needs and pricing. An engagement letter is provided and must be signed detailing list of services, fee for services, and when services are to be provided. Once the engagement letter is signed, a new client email is sent listing in detail what we need to begin working on the client's account.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    College degree in accounting, continuing education for tax preparation, as well QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification and continuing education in the software.
