About this pro
If you live in Indianapolis or the surrounding areas and prefer sessions to be held in the comfort of an office call to schedule a free 20 minutes session. In that brief session we have the opportunity to chat and determine if my services will meet your needs. If not I can give you names and numbers of other therapists you may contact. I believe that one must select a person he/she feels a level of comfort seeing on a regular basis. I have a beautiful office space in a great location that offers: easy access from the highway; plenty of parking;wheel chair accessible entrance and a elevator. In addition I also offer online sessions utilizing Skype. I offer the same free 20 minute session listed above except we will utilize Skype. Skype will allow you to have sessions from the comfort of your home or office from anywhere in the United States or anywhere outside of the USA.. I found that my passion is working with individuals, couples, and families that have a desire to work through areas of: grief & loss; anxiety;depression; trauma; burn out; self esteem challenges; and life transitions. Equipping those that I have the privilege to walk along side with the tools needed to: live healthier, to become more intentional, confident; improving self/mutual respect; developing active listening skills and making the changes that lead to a happier lifestyle.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I participate in specific trainings that will enhance my skills (3-4 a year), read, and participate as a presenter in workshops.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I always knew that I would be in a helping profession. Our family always shared the importance of helping those in need. Initially, I wanted to become a nurse because I felt that I would be in a great position to do the most good. However, my last year of nursing school I discovered that I was not passionate about it. I took a semester off talked with family, friends, and my pastor. I discovered that I was a person that people felt comfortable sharing portions of their journey with. I did not graduate from the nursing program instead I switched my major and a year later I graduated. It was through the jobs I had after college and many discussions with professors, peers, and family that I became a counselor and a therapist.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? There are really great men and women that have prepared themselves educationally in order to provide quality service for each person they work with.
