Introduction: When do you know you need treatment from me? 1. Pain. 2. Body Weakness. 3. Loss of balance. 4. Decrease in Range of Motion. 5. Loss of Speed. 6. Loss of Endurance. What can I do for you? 1. Eliminate pain. 2. Improve strength 3. Improve your movements restricted by trigger points. 4, Predict the potential for future injury. 5. Prevent future injury. Our method consists of: 1. Assessment and reassessment of the body 2. Manual techniques that are tailor-made for each individual situation. 3. An active movement rehabilitation component 4. Some pain neuroscience education to help you understand how pain works and how it can be controlled The overall aim is to provide a swifter recovery from pain and to promote optimal, efficient movement. By understanding the comprehensive nature of how things go wrong in the body, and the contributions of bio mechanical, biochemical and psycho-social factors, we develop effective strategies to solve even the toughest, longstanding pain conditions. Before my therapy services begin, I address 6 major factors of health restoration: 1. All forms of muscular injury due to soft-tissue overload, overuse, misuse, disuse and abuse. 2. Neurological well being, both cognitively and mechanically. 3. Posture and subsequent movement. 4. Identify and deactivate all trigger point contributions to pain and dysfunction. Attention is paid to educating the patient in chronic pain on what is going on in their body. We call this pain neuroscience education. 6. Identify, modify, or remove all relevant perpetuating factors such as ergonomics, sleep, nutrition, stress, etc. Why is Modern Trigger Point Therapy great? 1. It considers the whole patient in context with their environment. 2. It is good for most soft-tissue driven pain and dysfunction. 3. It reduces longstanding pain that was originally derived from soft tissue, including connective tissue. 4. It should be used before having a more invasive procedure, like surgery. 5. It may be helpful for pre-operative pain and hard-to-explain post-op pain. 6. It can be used for performance enhancement. 7. It can be a valuable part of regular monthly maintenance. 8. It is particularly good at solving enigmatic pain puzzles associated with myofascial pain. Lastly: Who is Steve Maschmeyer, CMTPT, CMT, MS? I do massage therapy regularly. For pain relief, I do not use massage or chiropractic, I use Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. I received my International Certification as a Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in 2014, Certificate # R7140093. Over the past 7 years I have been continually learning new techniques to relieve chronic and acute pain. There are many great methods of relieving muscle pain and they all work to some extend. But trigger point therapy is the fastest and most permanent method. We can predict when pain may strike in the future and prevent its occurrence. I am a triple certified myofascial trigger point therapist. I don't just push on knots, I find the cause and then the knots often just melt away. I have training from many of America's great therapists. I use the latest equipment: ESWT, MFM, FSM, Energy Medicine and more. I have a heated, electric tables. I use the finest massage oils, gels and cream. I work in a commercial location. My goal is to resolve your pain permanently without surgery or medications.

Massage Therapy

Steve’s level of understanding the root cause of pain is unparalleled. I’m a retired veteran and I have had massages; this is not a massage it’s relieving the root cause of pain permanently not temporarily masking the pain. I am a believer and it’s a truly unique process of trigger point therapy. My range of motion and sciatica symptoms were nearly vanquished in a 90 minute session! See Steve at Myopain relief center you will be pain free quickly.

Steven has provided significant relief to pain I’ve experienced the last several years in my neck, back, shoulder and arm. I believe the pain will completely subside once he has completed a few more sessions of therapy. In only two sessions, I would say the pain is 80% better.

Tremendous pain relief. After a long time with just physical therapy alone, Indy Myopain techniques provided the final solution to resolve my issues. All individuals associated with the practice are extremely cordial and helpful.

Steve and Brian did an excellent job of taking my pain away in my back knees and shoulder. Until I could take some extra weight off they helped me through by using the pressure point therapy.
