FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a first lesson free. We get a chance to meet and get to know each other see if we mesh well. It' really important that we feel comfortable with each other and money shouldn't be an issue with that. After we choose to study with with each other we will decide what is best, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. 30 minutes is $20. 45 minutes is $30. 60 minutes is $40.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually talk with my possible students about their goals so that we can tailor what we need to do in lessons. We will often do vocalizing in our first lesson and pull out songs that start stretch the range.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from DePauw University in 2005 with a B.A. in Vocal Performance then did Masters work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I sang a range of music from early music to opera to contemporary chamber music. I taught private voice lessons throughout and while in Madison worked with local folk artists who traveled in the area. When I returned to Indianapolis, I attended Marian University and received my Masters in English Education from Marian University and started Intimate Opera. In 2010, we stage our first show "The Impresario" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. We have gone on to stage older and more contemporary works, sing at the Palladium and with the Indianapolis Philharmonic and teach classes at the Palladium as well.
