Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have years of hands on experience in medical research, with an undergrad degree in Chemistry, and have taught Molecular Biology at the graduate level. I also have a Masters in Journalism. An unusual skill set that can be very useful. I am experienced at editing scientific manuscripts and working with those who do not have English as their first language. I can catch the form/from does/dose kind of mistakes that spell check can miss. I have written content for newsletters and done one on one interviews. In other words: I can write, edit and understand science. I am also an experienced quilter, I've written articles of interest to quilters, and taught lessons at quilt guild meetings.

I have had this person edit countless documents for me over the last three years, everything from letters of recommendations for others (where she catches additional things to be included), to important correspondence where a single typo can create a poor impression. She is a great editor who can not only catch the form/from, does/dose kind of typo that gets by spell check, but she makes recommendations for improving flow and writing in a more active tone. I know she has worked with many researchers and amassed over 30 full scientific journal articles. Some people she worked with were not native English speakers and she also served as the editor of their work making sure it was grammatically correct and understandable to an English audience. In addition to being a great editor she is also a good writer. After I created a department newsletter, I sent her out to interview a faculty member for each edition. She has a natural talent for not only getting the mundane details of their work but also getting to the more personal side of them. The faculty universally loved her interviews in our newsletter. I give her my highest recommendation.

Mrs. Durant was an immeasurable help with several projects, including hard science, popular science and history. She has knowledge in the area of biology and medicine and used it to make significant contributions to both the content and the format of the over 40 hard science articles. Her suggestions are on topic, on point, and still leave the feel or crux of an article intact. Technical issues and grammar, especially voice and sentence structure are strong points for her, including formatting of citations. Turnaround times are short, but the work is done completely and thoroughly. I will use her again for many projects.
