Intimacy and passion,
Everyone willing to have an open, honest and spirit filled pre-marital counseling should totally go with Chesla! Each question stirred in us the curiosity to want to know more about each other; it was a reassurance that we do not need to know everything about each other before getting married, but we must be willing and intentional to always discover each other in the big and little things of life. Chesla did not only provide a great pre-marital counseling (it’s been a year now, and we still talk about it!), but she was quite thoughtful to deliver a homily that reflected our spiritual life, religious views, and above all our story and relationship essence.Aug 17, 2018Rev. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The price quoted includes: * three hours of pre-marital counseling (can be done in person or via video conferencing and in 2 or 3 sessions) * help with ceremony preparation * a personalized ceremony * Filling in and signing the record of marriage * travel cost (in the central Indiana area) associated with the wedding (we can discuss travel cost for those outside of central Indiana)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I generally meet with the couple to make sure we are a good fit and that we are clear about expectations and needs. If we are a good fit, we proceed with the pre-marital counseling sessions. The sessions will include time for discussing the ceremony to be sure it reflects the couple.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Master of Divinity (M.Div) and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) from Christian Theological Seminary. I am an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
