Shaun was a fantastic beginner guitar instructor. I had never even picked up a guitar until our first lesson and I was reading music and playing songs by my second lesson. He was extremely patient, articulate and talented. He also came to my apartment which was very convenient. I would highly recommend him for anyone interested in learning how to play the guitar.

I am an adult and I began violin lessons for the first time a little over a month ago. Zhanna is my teacher and I think she is fantastic. I have learned a lot more than I thought I would in just four lessons. I highly recommend Upbeat Music. Everyone is very welcoming there.

I'm a guitarist and do some teaching -- praise band, solo jazz, and trio jazz (YouTube's Billy Nicks Trio). I have played guitar from ages 14 to 62 plus. I had to take a break from playing local gigs due to a hospital stay. Currently, I'm healthy. I write instrumental tunes and hope to sell melodies or songs. I have a video of performing "Funny Valentine" (Miles Davis arrangement), "Nardis" (Miles Davis writer), "Kidney Stew" (BB King). I have two originals on video.

About

I use clear legible lessons that I create on my computer. I explain techniques and demonstrate them so that the student can play them. I work at the pace you are comfortable.
