Angelica is a talented musician with over 15 years of experience. She is an accomplished flutist who has played in many bands and symphonies around the Bay Area in California. Angelica recently graduated cum laude from San Jose State University with a bachelor's degree and teaching credential in music education. In addition to playing both flute, voice, saxophone, and piano, she recently toured with the San Jose State Choraliers (vocal ensemble) in Europe. Ms. Angelica's goal is to provide students with a quality education through performance opportunities and musical discipline while incorporating music fundamentals and theory. She strongly believes that students should experience a very positive yet challenging environment in order to inspire greatness.
Sabrina is teaching piano to my Kindergarten-aged twins. She is great with young kids and their parents. She's very flexible with her teaching, willing to adapt to the style that fits them best. The lessons have included a conga drum to learn keeping time, as well as opening up the piano to show how the inside works. The learning environment in her home is very relaxing, and helps to calm my very energetic boys. When my boys do get distracted, she can effectively rein them back in or use their curiosity as a teachable moment when appropriate.
I am a guitar/voice student with Bart at Reno's and he's great! I call him "The Song Doctor" because he revives songs I bring in with technique and great ideas! He is an amazing guitarist and patient teacher, even when I struggle. He knows music theory well and can teach this knowledge in an understandable and interesting way. Lessons are fun and non intimidating. Reno's Music is cool and I always feel welcome.
I am taking voice lessons and truly enjoying them; Carolyn is an excellent teacher!

School of Rock Carmel - Inspiring kids to rock on stage and in life Ever dream of rocking out on stage? Of singing or playing in a band? School of Rock does just that! We are a performance-based music lesson school who believes that the best way to learn is by performing! At School of Rock, we do things differently. Our goal is to inspire our students, so that it's never a chore to practice or to come to lessons. We offer group rehearsals and lessons for kids between the ages of 8-18, as well as adults, and a beginner program called Little Wing for 4-5-year-olds. I'm able to play the piano at a high level which unfortunately many voice teachers are not able to do; this allows my students to receive not only high level vocal technique training but a vocal coach-accompanist experience as well - all in the same lesson. I also have experience teaching every age and all levels of singing. I have singers who are rank beginners and singers who sing at the highest professional levels as opera and musical theatre professionals, and everything in between. I enjoy them all!
Meridian Music is a Steinway's dealer and provides music instruction to more than 1,000 students per week.
It is a good business to be good at singing. I am here to make you good. I teach your kids to take chorus, so they can take in high school.
I think the reason I stand out above other qualified candidates is that my passion for students is evident every single day. I choose to involve myself in activities where I am constantly teaching students, whether it is with my full-time job, teaching musical theater at Christian Youth Theatre, or nannying children over the summer, I love kids and have a gift with them.
