This review is almost two years too late but I just realized this app is still on my phone! :) That being said - I need to still sing Ami’s praises! She was amazing, I can still look back at my wedding pictures and see what an amazing job she did: my husband smashed cake in my face and it still survived his shenanigans. Ami was punctual, and she did an amazing makeup job. I believe we airbrushed and she did a pre-styling first as well.Jul 20, 2018Verified
Ami was both incredibly professional, and talented! From the initial booking, to the trial, to the day-of, everything was executed perfectly. Both my makeup, and my bridesmaids' + mom's makeup looked incredible and we got many compliments all night. Ami's prices are incredibly reasonable and most importantly, she made me feel confident and perfect on our big day.Oct 30, 2017Verified
I could not be more grateful for finding such amazing makeup artists for my wedding. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to makeup (I have done my own makeup for all of my brothers weddings instead of getting it done) but she made me feel so beautiful without being over done. My main concern was if she'd be able to cover up a few blemish scars and she completely did! My bridesmaids and I were beyond pleased and would use her a million times over. Thank you so much !!!Jun 12, 2017Verified
Ami is absolutely amazing! My girls were super happy with their makeup looks. My makeup lasted all day!!! I would definitely hire Ami again if I could. She was early to my event and stayed on schedule throughout. Thank you so much for everything Ami!Jun 5, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I get asked a lot if I offer hair as well. YES, I work with a team of both hairstylists and makeup artists.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes, I watch a lot of makeup artists on YouTube. I also try to go to as many makeup artistry workshops that are being offered around my Chicagoland area. Utilizing a little bit of everyone's techniques and never being closed minded is the best way to grow as a makeup artist. I'm also attending Tricoci University as a licensed esthetician/makeup artist, and I graduate October 2018.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've always thought it was so amazing to see these makeup transformations on What Not To Wear. I would practice on my mom as a little girl but never thought I'd be as good as the artists on the show. One day I came across a makeup artist named Makeup Geek on YouTube. She was so inspiring because I saw how much she was inspiring all her viewers. I learned the foundation of what I needed to know from her on how to apply makeup and how to inspire others.
