FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system isn't very complicated. I don't charge clients by the hour, rather I typically tell my clients to figure up how much I charge just take the number of rooms that you have times $10.00. So if you have two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms then I will more than likely charge you $60 to clean your entire home. This is the rate I use for residential homes where someone is currently living. Rental properties can sometimes cost a little more ($20-$30 more) if they are rough condition (extremely dirty and/or have trash or items inside) and the appliances need cleaned out on the inside.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a full time college student, and I was working 40+ hours a week in retail management. I wanted to find a way to work using my skills and education that didn't require me to have to work holidays, evenings, or so many hours a week. I also wanted to do something that I was get at. It didn't take me long to realize my stores were some of the most clean and organized ones in the area. LIGHT BULB! I knew precisely what I was naturally good at doing.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Basically, every home I clean involves dusting appliances, artwork, picture frames, ceiling fans and light fixtures, wiping stove tops, counter tops, inside microwaves and sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, baseboards, floors get swept, mopped, or vacuumed.
